					                     SECTION B - CATTLE
               All stock transport must park their vehicles as directed.
        NOTE: Prize Money will be paid out by Stewards on day of Show.
           ENTRIES CLOSE AS PER HEADING OF EACH BREED
         Entrance fee $2.50 (Inc GST) per class, unless otherwise specified.
       Subscriptions and Entry Fees must be paid to Mt. Pleasant Show Society
                                    prior to judging.
                     No prize money where a Trophy is donated.
          Classes for registered cattle only. Date of birth and registration
                 number to be given for all entries in those classes.
                       PLEASE NOTE REGULATION 6
                SPECIAL NOTE TO ALL CATTLE EXHIBITORS
1.    Exhibitors to adhere to space allotted by the Society.
2.    Johne’s Disease – If the herd status for Johne’s Disease is infected or suspect,
      entries will not be accepted. Every effort will be made by the Society to
      segregate those exhibits with MN1 status or better. For those MN1 cattle
      exhibitors requiring segregation, official documentation from Department of
      Primary Industries confirming the Johne’s Disease herd status must
      accompany the entries.
3.    If in the event of a herd having a reactor, entry fees only will be refunded to
      exhibitor.
4.    Cattle judging commences as per programme.
5.    All exhibitors must be members of the Mt. Pleasant Show Society.
6.    All cattle to be led in the ring.
7.    All ages stipulated for beef and dairy cattle must be adhered to.
8.    All bulls over one year must be nose rung. All females must have nose clips
      when being led.
9.    Cattle Trucks use “Main gate” entrance before 7.00 a.m.
10.   All dairy cattle please refer to “Rules and Regulations” re notification of
      scratchings.
11.   All exhibitors refer “Rules & Regulations”, re removal of stock (paragraphs 5
      & 29)
12.   All exhibitors are responsible for disposal of milk. No milk to be disposed of
      on grounds.
              Any breach of these rules will incur a fine of up to $100.
            JUNIOR BEEF CATTLE JUDGING COMPETITION
Junior beef cattle judging open to all young people under the age of 25 years by
1st September 2010. Winner to compete in Junior Judging at Royal Adelaide
Show 2010. Winner of Junior Judging to compete at the National Finals. No entry
fee. Post entries. Winner sash with Trophy donated by Mrs. D. Anderson.
                     JUNIOR HANDLERS COMPETITION
Judging to take place after Beef Cattle Judging, open to all young people under the
                        age of 25 years by 1st September 2010.

•    To be judged as a pair, maximum 100 points per pair, maximum 50 points
     per animal.
•    Exhibits must conform to the rules and regulations of their respective society
     or association to be eligible for an award.
•    All exhibits entered in the Cow/Calf Classic will be inspected. Calves must
     be tattooed and be the progeny of the cow exhibited.
•    Animals to be drawn from general classes.

                All cattle to be registered with the Illawarra Society.
                               Appendix Cattle eligible.
Mt. Pleasant Show subscription $10.00 (Inc GST) and entry fee $2.20 (Inc GST)
per animal or group, to be lodged with the State secretary, Mrs. Marie Mueller,
P.O. Box 486 Murray Bridge, 5253, by the last day of February.
Dry cow to be a cow milking at least six months and milked out immediately
before entering judging ring.
Aggregate points for most successful exhibitor to be calculated on the following
basis. First 5; Second 3; Third 1; 5 points for each champion female; 3 points each
reserve champion female. In the event of a tie fourth, fifth and sixth placing to be
taken into consideration.
                           Judging starts at 9.30 a.m. sharp.
                          All ages to date from 1st January.
1    Junior Handlers Class - Heifer, yearling - led by boy or girl under 14 years of
     age. To be judged on points for handling. (Winners of this class do not
     qualify for points for Most Successful Exhibitor).

     for each 5kg of combined butterfat & protein over standard for age under
     recognised testing scheme in the year preceding the show. Lactation report as

17   Group of 3 females over 2.5 years.

   a)     Cows exhibited in the Type and production Class must be exhibited in
          their respective Age Classes.
   b)     Lactation must be completed during the 15 months prior to the 28th
          February in the year of the Competition. In the case of cows completing
          two lactations during the prescribed period, the owner MUST use the
          last lactation.
   c)     Points awarded for -TYPE (maximum 100) PRODUCTION (1 point
          for every 2 kg of protein over standard for age).
   d)     It will be the responsibility of exhibitors to obtain Production
          Certificates and forward them to the State Secretary with their entry
          form. (Name of animal to be included on entry form).
13 GILMAR TROPHY - Female or Heifer any age, to be owned by the exhibitor.
   Entry for this class must be by an exhibitor who has not won a champion or
   reserve champion ribbon at a Royal show or the Autumn Fair over the past 2
