Our Moreland - looking good signal box COMPETITION Win time with a professional street artist to design and paint your art on a Lygon Street signal box. This community art competition is a Moreland City Council initiative. The aim is to give young, local artists the opportunity to publicly display their work by painting directly onto a VicRoads traffic signal box to reduce the reoccurrence of graffiti on the boxes and to create a more vibrant and interesting streetscape. A panel of judges including representatives from VicRoads and Moreland City Council will decide on the winners. Three winners will be given the opportunity to work with a professional artist to design and paint their design onto a signal box. Anyone between the ages of 12 and 25 living, studying or working in Moreland may enter, including school groups, community groups and friends. Entries close at 5 pm on 15 May 2009.
