Working in family or other groups, participants will construct a set of vessels bearing brightly coloured fruits,
nuts and pods suggestive of those found in our forests. Palm fronds will be used as the mould base to give a
natural texture reminiscent of the Coolamon structures used by indigenous people who lived in the region.
Participants will take home a memento of the project. There will be an opportunity to return to glaze the
pieces at a later date. The finished artworks will become part of an installation to be displayed in venues
around the region in conjunction with the Q150 celebrations after which, work will be returned to participants.
