NHS Gloucestershire is seeking an experienced Equality and Diversity Practitioner to
provide leadership on Equality, Diversity and Human Rights across the organisation.

As world class Commissioners we are responsible for commissioning and monitoring health
care and we also deliver a range of health service through our arms-length managed
organisation, NHS Gloucestershire Care Services.

We have made great progress with our Equality, Diversity and Human Rights work and
need someone to provide maternity cover, on a job share basis for a period of 12 months.

We are currently working to produce a Single Equalities Scheme and roll out a range of
training programmes. You will also lead a number of specific projects, so in addition to
equalities and diversity knowledge you must be good at data analysis and have strong
report writing and project management skills. Experience of working in a health sector
environment would be helpful but is not essential.

CHOOSE AND BOOK AND SMART CARD ADMIN ASSISTANT

We are a friendly team who needs someone with excellent office skills to work on a variety
of activities while the current post holder is on secondment. We support GP practices and
pharmacies to use computer based applications via the use of Smart Cards. You will be
dealing with telephone enquiries from GP practices and experience of customer service
would be useful. We also help GP practices to provide appointments for their patients
using Choose and Book.
You will need good interpersonal skills, as well as excellent administration skills to be
effective in this role. Experience of working in a busy office, using Microsoft packages, is
essential. An understanding of Choose and Book and an awareness of medical terms
would be an advantage. The occasional visit to GP practices may be required.

development, especially in the field of Special Care Dentistry. You will be expected to

We require a highly experienced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist to join our friendly, pro-
active, rural PCT, to help us in continuing to improve the function and quality for
Gloucestershire’s patients.

This post is for a Physiotherapist who is currently or who is working towards becoming an
Extended Scope Practitioner. This post will incorporate a lead responsibility for
Musculoskeletal Outpatient services in the North Cotswolds.

The service works collaboratively with colleagues in the locality and has strong links with
staff in Cirencester. There is a strong focus on delivering high quality services close to
peoples homes by enabling staff to develop clinically. You will be supported by senior staff
including established Extended Scope Practitioners and should be highly motivated,
enthusiastic and have good interpersonal skills.

This post is part time and covers clinical responsibility over two hospital sites at Moreton
and Bourton.The Physiotherapy Service and PCT are committed to offer excellent

COMMUNITY OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

Working in Adult Social Care as an Occupational Therapist is a hugely rewarding career.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to work in our friendly well-
established multi disciplinary team. We offer a supportive and friendly environment with
regular supervision and flexible working hours.

The work is focused on promoting the independence of older or physically disabled people
within their own homes. You will carry out assessments using the Canadian Model of
Occupational Performance (CMOP) as a framework, for service users from both Gloucester
City and adjacent county areas.

Moving & Handling skills and experience of major adaptations will be an advantage,
however we do offer comprehensive training and development opportunities. The work is
varied, including rapid problem solving through to longer-term work. You should
preferably have some experience of working in a community setting. Ideally you will be
familiar with the County Council’s ERIC data base, although this is not essential as training
will be given.

semi-acute medical conditions, palliative and end of life care with the local community.

MULTI-DISCIPLINARY ASSISTANTS

We are seeking two members of staff to join our team, who have been very successfully
developing a new model of working over the last year in the Winchcombe Locality. The
posts are based in the six bedded unit in a local Nursing home where NHS staff provide
rehabilitation, sub acute and end of life care to the local population. As part of the model,
the community team provide services to those in the unit as well as those in the
community to ensure that people are able to return home promptly, remain in their homes
for longer and to prevent unnecessary admissions to hospital.

We are seeking enthusiastic staff who enjoy working as a team, are committed to
providing good quality services and are keen to develop their own skills.
You need to have experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team within the
community or hospital setting. Evidence of working alongside patients with broad ranging
rehabilitation/nursing needs is essential. We are also seeking individuals who hold, or are
working towards, an NVQ 3 in a relevant health/social care qualification or have an
equivalent level of knowledge. You need to be able to travel within the Winchcombe
locality.

Sue Ryder Care is a leading healthcare charity providing specialist palliative, neurological and
community based services. Leckhampton Court Hospice provides specialist palliative care for
people with life threatening illness. We are currently developing an innovative new service located
within our Day Hospice to support patients living with life threatening illness to remain at home for
as long as possible.

The Sue Ryder Care Advanced Nurse Practitioner will develop the day hospice service to
enable flexibility and provision of clinical interventions used to manage symptoms for patients with
specialist palliative care needs (eg drainage of ascites, infusions and transfusions).

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated nurse to lead the day hospice clinical
service developments. Essentially you will be an experienced RGN, with post registration
experience of Palliative Care. Ideally you will have a post qualification in Palliative Care, Advanced
Nursing Practice and be an Independent Nurse Prescriber.
