           The following Honors were announced at the May 3, 2007 Honors Convocation.

NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY CLASS OF 2007
The following members of the Class of 2006 have been elected to membership in the Fenwick Chapter
of the National Honor Society by the vote of the Fenwick Faculty Committee. Due consideration was
given to the admonition of the National Honor Society Constitution, Article 11:2: "Membership in this
chapter should be based on scholarship, service, leadership and character." The students will be
inducted in the National Honor Society in October of the next school year.

In math competition this year, the following awards were won by Fenwick students:

In the year-long National Freshman Algebra League competition, medals for the highest scoring

In the Illinois State Math Contest regional’s, Fenwick won third place in its region, qualifying the entire
35-member team for the state math finals for the 14th consecutive year. At the State Finals, Fenwick
won the second place team award and had the highest private school score in the AA Divisions for the

The Fenwick WYSE (Worldwide Youth in Science and Engineering) Team placed third in state in the
Academic Challenge Competition on April 17, 2007, at the University of Illinois in Urbana. The team
score was 446 of a possible 500. The team won or tied for 46 individual awards during the 2007
competitions, including one individual state champion.

Fifteen Fenwick students attended the 2007 Spanish Oral Proficiency Contest held at Proviso West High
School on Saturday, February 24. Each participant recited a selection of Hispanic poetry before a panel
of three judges and received one of these awards: certificate of participation; green ribbon, red ribbon,
and blue ribbon
