measures for the invasion of the Austrian Netherlands. Returning to the army on the
20th of October, 1792, he began the attack on the 28th. .. Dumouriez, at the head of
the army of Belgium, forty thousand strong, advanced from Valenciennes upon Mons,
supported on the right by the army of the Ardennes, amounting to about sixteen
thousand men, under general Valence, who marched from Givet upon Namur; and on
his left, by the army of the north, eighteen thousand strong, under general
Labourdonnaie, who advanced from Lille upon Tournai. The Austrian army, posted
before Mons, awaited battle in its intrenchments. Dumouriez completely defeated it; and
the victory of Jemappes opened Belgium to the French, and again gave our arms the
ascendancy in Europe. A victor on the 6th of November, Dumouriez entered Mons on
the 7th, Brussels on the 14th, and Liege on the 28th. Valence took Namur,
Labourdonnaie Antwerp; and by the middle of December, the invasion of the
  Netherlands was completely achieved.

  ;Note=1796, wet 26.10.1796 {d}

  ;Note=1814, Koning Willem I zonder raadpl. Staten-Generaal {d}
The autocratic temper of the king showed itself not merely in keeping the control of
finance largely in his own hands, but also in carrying out a series of measures arousing
popular discontent by simple ‘arrêtés’ or decrees of the Council of State without
  consultation with the representative Chamber.
Such were the decree of November 6, 1814, abolishing trial by jury and making certain
other changes in judicial proceedings; that of April 15, 1815, imposing great restrictions
on the liberty of the press; that of September 15, 1819, making Dutch the official

After reaching the Moluccas (the Spice Islands) November 6, 1521, 115 crew were left.
They managed to trade with the Sultan of Tidore, a rival of the Sultan of Ternate, who
was the ally of the Portuguese.
The two remaining ships, laden with valuable spices, attempted to return to Spain by
sailing west. As they left the Moluccas, however, the Trinidad was found to be taking on
water. The crew tried to discover and repair the leak, but failed.
They concluded that the Trinidad would need to spend considerable time being
overhauled. The small Victoria was not large enough to accommodate all the surviving
crewmembers. As a result, the Victoria with some of the crew sailed west for Spain.
Several weeks later, the Trinidad left the Moluccas to attempt to return to Spain via the
Pacific route. This attempt failed; the ship was captured by the Portuguese, and was
eventually wrecked in a storm while at anchor under Portuguese control.

Television" after its sister radio station. In 1939, it began sharing programs with W2XBS

THE FIRST Jet propelled landing on an aircraft carrier was made November 6, 1945 by
Ensign Jake C. West in an FR-1 Fireball on the escort carrier "Wake Island" off San
Diego, Calif. The "Fireball," a Ryan-built Navy fighter plane, was powered by both a
turbo-jet and a conventional reciprocating engine, which normally uses its reciprocating
power plant for take-off and landing, switching over to the jet as either an exclusive or
supplementary propulsive force once it is in the air. As West was landing, the
reciprocating engine power failed and he landed using jet power.

November 6, Morocco Green March Day - This holiday commemorates the day in 1976
when King Hassan II and Morocco peacefully recovered southern provinces which had
been under the adminstration of Spain. They achieved the reunion by marching across
the border with 350,000 civilian volunteers.

The Green March was a strategic mass demonstration in November 1975, coordinated by
the Moroccan government, to force Spain to hand over the disputed, autonomous semi-
metropolitan Spanish Province of Sahara to Morocco. The Green March was a well-
publicized popular march of enormous proportions. On November 6, 1975,
approximately 350,000 unarmed Moroccans converged on the city of Tarfaya in
                                   6 november
southern Morocco and waited for a signal from King Hassan II to cross into Western
Sahara. They brandished Moroccan flags, banners calling for the "return of the
Moroccan Sahara," photographs of the King and the Qur'an; the color green for the
march's name was intended as a symbol of Islam. As the marchers reached the border
Spanish troops were ordered not to fire to avoid bloodshed.
