STEVEN M. SPROVACH, Senior V.P.
The Financial Network Group, Ltd.
As the calendar approaches the turning of another year, it is human nature to evaluate our lives dur-
ing the old year and resolve to make changes for the better in the new. In fact, there is almost al-
ways a financial component to our new goals and it usually involves getting control of our credit card
debt or saving more for our children’s college or our retirement. While these are certainly admirable
and important resolutions, they may require a major lifestyle change which is easier said than done.
We think you should start with some basic strategies that do not require any major changes on
your part and may have a dramatic impact on your long term financial success.
Start by establishing an asset allocation* strategy that examines all of your investment assets that
have the same goal (i.e. retirement) as one nest egg. Further, this will assure that all the compo-
nents are working together rather than being treated separately. Asset allocation starts with a com-
fortable ratio of equities and fixed income investments which allow you to have confidence in your
investments and keep you on track to help attain your goals.
Once the broad asset allocation strategy is in place, it is critically important to review and re-
balance your portfolio on a regular basis. Every six months may be a good target for this process.
Please call The Financial Network Group, Ltd. at 513-469-7500 for your complimentary portfolio
evaluation.
