thing this Shire has in spades is beautiful settings.
The picturesque Namoi River meanders through Narrabri Shire from Bog-

If bird watching is your scene, or you just prefer your picnic with a water

This is the year we prepare to celebrate Narrabri’s 150th year. Our “proud
heritage” is of course in the pioneering spirit that saw Narrabri set up as P: 6754 6702
a service town to mixed agriculture and logging. It grew into broad acre W: www.blueguminteractive.biz
farming, research and tourism and was followed by irrigation, cotton
research and development. Our most recent chapter is now unfolding as
gas production and coal mining provide a base for new employment and
new opportunities.
On the future side, the details of Aero-Pelican’s new Sydney-Narrabri
flights are all coming together for a smooth transition in March. This is a
company looking to grow with us for exactly our type of regional service.
Their business is our business. They have been proactive and want to
partner our growth into the future. We definitely need to be proactive and
support and build on this opportunity to keep the inbound and out-
bound connections into Narrabri alive and well.
I look forward to finding our way ahead together in business for 2009.
