What Should We Expect?
Our First Service at Wallace School Is this Sunday, April 18 (8:30 & 10:30 services)
Since everything will be new to us, do your best to prepare yourself and your family to focus on God. Though there will be distractions,
or maybe even frustrations, remember you are going to a Celebration of our great God — keep that as the main focus and keep your
heart open to the process of our move. Just as we have been studying in the book of Nehemiah, look forward to God presenting us with
very practical situations and challenges where He will expose and form our hearts for His glory.
Some of those situations where we are looking for your cooperation include the following:
• As you enter the parking lot at Wallace School, look for people to direct you where to park. Keep in mind that THE FRONT LOT
will serve visitors, handicapped vehicles, elderly people, others who struggle walking and single parents with children. Everyone else
will be asked to park either along the roads that go to the back of the building or in the lots in the back. Dads, you can drop your
family off at the front entrance then park along the road or in the back. All workers, musicians, and set up people, please park in the
rear of the building.
• You may park along the roadways at the front and sides of the building, pay attention to and obey marked fire lanes that we must
abide by, but please DO NOT PARK ON THE GRASS.
• As new renters, we are establishing what we hope will be a God-honoring, working relationship with the Vineland Public Schools. So
let’s make sure we go out of our way to treat the property with utmost respect. We are not allowed to explore the school build-
ing. So parents, it is your responsibility to make sure your children are not wandering outside the spaces designated for our use,
which will be clearly marked.
• The auditorium at Wallace School offers more space than we are accustomed to, so we will rope off some seats that we will not
use. If you need help in finding a space to sit, see one of the ushers or greeters. By the way, the seats, though functional, are not
padded. Bringing a seat cushion is totally acceptable and may be a good idea for some.
• Our system for setting up the space we use at Wallace will take some time to develop. So, although what you will see in the Lobby
and in the Children’s Ministry areas will be safe, simple, and functional, it is not what we will be using once we have our com-
plete system in place. Please be patient for the first few weeks.
• Please read over this entire Newsletter (paying attention to the maps) and for more information for parents of young children.
Please be praying that this transition will be a time we experience an increase of God’s magnificent presence in Living Faith Alliance
Church.

Parents, please take time to
prepare your family for our move
Dear Parents:
God had a great idea when He made parents! It is a blessing for our kids to have some-
one that can see the big picture and who will use real life situations, both little and big, to
point kids to God. We would like to encourage you to use even this time of transition as
a church to give orientation especially to your younger children. Can we give you a few suggestions of things to talk about?:
• Talk with them about how they are part of a “Church family” and that God is moving our “family” to a “new house” and that it
means we have to pack up everything and move to a new place for worship/classes/nursery etc.
• Please pray for your children to see in this move that GOD is the one thing in life that never changes and that we can always
look to Him in times of adjustment.
• It would be good to have a time with them where they can talk about memories in the Main Rd. church building as a way to
celebrate and remember God’s goodness.
• Take time to talk with them about the logistics of the move:
a. That we will be meeting in two different schools (one on Sunday and one on Wednesday)
b. That the place for worship/classes will look different, but the teachers will be the same
c. That they can look for signs to point them to their classes: on Wednesday evening there will be a wing of classrooms for
all ages 0-6th grade near each other; on Sundays the nursery/walkers will be in one room and all other classes 2-5’s and
KOM and CW will be in the cafeteria (which is very close to the auditorium)
• Please look for our new central sign-in place: We will be signing in 0-5 year olds on Sundays and 0-6th graders on Wednesday
nights now from a central sign-in place by family (instead of at the door of the classroom)
• For those of you with 0-6th graders, we would appreciate it very much if you would choose either first or second service and be
consistent in that service. That way we can staff nurseries and classrooms adequately, and the children will all benefit from hav-
ing the same teacher/team each week.
• Please label all your children’s belongings (especially for the nursery) so things don’t get lost.
• Help your 1st-6th graders to look for the kids bulletins (at first they will be at the pastorate booth) and let your kids still find a
lollypop from a CM worker that will be around after the services on Sundays.
• Remind the older kids that Creative Worship and Kids on a Mission will not be meeting until the 2nd and 4th Sundays in May.
May God bless you with special times as you slow down to lead your family,
Sharon Howard
