INSURANCE CLAIM FOR COMPENSATION
I feel that either damage has been caused to myself and/or
my belongings due to the Borough Council being negligent
in their duty to maintain the property.
How can I make a claim?
In the first instance you must report the claim by telephoning the Contact
Centre on 01509 634567 or in writing to the Borough Council at
Southfields Offices Loughborough, LE11 2TT.
What happens once I have reported it?
A Senior Maintenance Inspector will call at an agreed date to complete an
insurance form.At the time of his visit the inspector will need copies of any
estimates, invoices, receipts or other documents relative to your claim.
The insurance form is then forwarded to the Borough
Councils Insurance Officer. (Direct Line 01509 634907)
The information is then passed to the Borough Councils Insurance
Company who will then deal direct with you.
Completion of an insurance claim form does not mean that the Borough
Council admit liability in any way and each case will be dealt with as a
separate issue by the Borough Councils Insurance Company.
When will repairs be carried out to the area where the
claim has arisen?
