The Iowa Department of Public Safety (DPS) is seeking highly qualified and motivated women and men with exemplary personal ethics and superior physical and mental capabilities for challenging and rewarding careers in law enforcement. Entry level positions include: State Trooper; Fire Inspector; Gaming Enforcement Officer (Casino).
Seasoned established officers can request internal transfers between divisions and work in both uniformed and non-uniformed positions over the course of their career. Additionally, the department has specialized units such as K-9, Air Wing, Executive Protection and Tactical units which are also possibilities for later assignments. Women and men are encouraged to explore the possibilities as they consider joining a challenging and exciting organization for a career in law enforcement!
