It has been over a week since the Star Guard fought the ‘Legion of Chaos’. The time passed uneventfully. Quizin left word that he would be exploring the nearby star systems now that his warp drive system was functioning correctly. Nemesis, realizing the effectiveness of the steel I-Beams during the fight with the ‘Legion of Chaos', practices using large items as makeshift weapons. He also hones his skill at throwing coins at super velocities doing the damage of a .44 magnum bullet. Later he trades in a gold coin for some Old Spanish Pesos that he put in small pockets sewn into his costume. He also uses this time to reestablish his regular patrol routines. Thunderbolt used this time to practice using her powers effectively. She uses some of the smaller asteroids for target practice. F-Girl utilized the time studying for her classes. Her activities as a heroin have drastically affected her studies. She also spent time playing with F-Dog. Solarr traveled to a nearby space dock to acquire his Galactic Net Card. He spends the rest of this time working on his bounty hunters business. Solarr was on duty at the Star Guard base when an image of a green skinned muscular alien with a misshapen head and tentacles appeared in the room. The image announced "Earth Beings, you are hereby ordered to vacate these premises, they are the property of the Shi'ar Empire. You have 24 hours to comply." Solarr tried to trace the signal but was only able to determine that it originated from outside earth's system. It was coming from the direction of the Greater Magellanic Cloud, the home of the once great Kree Empire. Solarr activated the emergency signal on the new communicators that had been found in the base. Nemesis, F-Girl and Thunderbolt responded to the emergency signal. While Solarr was explaining what happened the message began to repeat so he patched it through the communicator. Several members of the group recognized the being as Supremor of the Kree Star Force. Nemesis recalled a report filed by Captain America concerning the Kree / Shi'ar war. The report said that the Star Force is working for Deathbird who has been placed in command of what remained of the fallen Kree Empire. The group headed for the base. Nemesis was the first to arrive at the base followed closely by Thunderbolt. Nemesis and Thunderbolt both took showers and then joined Solarr and F-Girl in the control room. Nemesis immediately began analyzing the signal that repeated every ten minutes. He was able to determine that the signal was actually an Omni-Wave. The signal seemed to be an instantaneous transmission. Nemesis found that the Kree components of the base seemed to act as a conductor for the message. They decided to remove a control console and a backup power cell from the base and see if the message repeated at its location. The message appeared in the base and at the console. They spent the next few hours trying to change the bases orbital path. No matter where they moved the base the Omni-Wave beam seemed to follow. After they stopped moving the base the message changed to include "Your attempts to move the facility have been noted."

Nemesis remembered that Thunderbolts' powers are magically based and might interfere with the signal. She concentrated and filled the base with hurricane force winds. They waited in the wind for the message but it didn't repeat. As they were trying to decide how to use this to their advantage the base sensors indicated three figures outside the base. The sensors showed Ultimus, Korath and Shatterax outside the entrance. Ultimus was trying to force his way in and would breach the door very soon. The group took positions in the landing bay area preparing for the Star Force. Thunderbolt concentrated her weather powers in this landing bay, while the others attempted to coordinate their attacks on the first one to enter. Ultimus forced the doors open and started to enter. Though they were unable to time their attacks together their attacks were sufficient to bring the Kree Eternal down. He would have been knocked back through the door if he had not been grabbing onto the door. Korath was the next to enter. He was buffeted by the hurricane winds but managed to maintain his balance. Korath spotting the source of the wind, aimed his stun rod at Thunderbolt but his aim was thrown off by the hurricane. Shatterax was not so lucky and was tossed off balance by the powerful gusts. As the winds began to die Korath again pointed his baton at Thunderbolt. This time his aim was true and the blast struck Thunderbolt squarely; the blast seemed to cut right through her force field. Though she was shaken Thunderbolt sent a lightning bolt toward her cybernetic opponent. The bolt hit but seemed to have no effect except to unbalance him. F-Girl sent an electromagnetic pulse at Shatterax knocking the armored villain into the hanger bay door; he slowly sank to the floor. Nemesis said "Solarr, you and I on Ultimus! TBolt on Korath! F-Girl take Shatterax!" And threw the second lifter arm at Ultimus hitting the fallen Kree. Solarr moved over to the downed Ultimus intent on keeping the Eternal that way. He hit Ultimus with a powerful haymaker and knocked him through the open hanger bay door. The unsuspecting Thunderbolt was hit by a blast from behind and knocked unconscious. Supremor had transported unnoticed into the base. With Koraths' opponent down he changed his focus to F-Girl. His blast missed the agile heroin as she dodged. Solarr moved to challenge Supremor. He attempted to ram the green skinned villain but barely missed his target. Nemesis also built up ramming speed as he flew through the open door after Ultimus. He does connect though and comms "OW" as he feels the power of his own attack. Supremor scowled at Solarr as he tried to grab him with his tentacles. Korath again tried to blast F-Girl with his Stun Rob. This time the blast hit the young heroin knocking her off her feet. She quickly recovered her balance and sent a wave of EMP energy at him barely missing. Solarr assumed his base form and sent a fiery blast at Supremor. The blast missed unfortunately. Nemesis again struck Ultimus a mighty blow and commed for status. The only reply came from Solarr who said "I think I can handle Supremor for a few more rounds" as he missed Supremor with a blast of heat. Supremor laughed and said "You dare attack me with such a weak attack?" but again missed Solarr with his tentacles. Korath aimed his powerful baton at the young F-Girl but missed as she nimbly stepped aside. Thunderbolt regained her feet and sent an electrical blast toward Korath. Her blast missed but did succeed in getting his attention. Nemesis delivered a powerful blow to his downed opponent trying to knock him through the open doors. Solarr turned desolid and continued to verbally assault Supremor. Supremor tried to hit his intangible target with a wave of energy, but is passed harmlessly through Solarr. Solarr gloated, "You are unworthy of my full attention!" Glaring at Thunderbolt, Korath yelled, "You dare ARISE" and tried to hit her with a blast from his baton. As Koraths' blast missed Thunderbolt hurled a bolt of lightning at him. The powerful blast knocked Korath off balance. Nemesis again hammered Ultimus knocking him through the open door. the room he skittered across the floor and slammed into the wall. Solarr remained desolid while Supremor attacked fruitlessly. Shatterax sent a rocket at F-Girl and knocked her out. Korath regained his balance and dodged. Thunderbolt sent a thunderblast at Shatterax and hit but had little effect. As Nemesis entered the room he saw Shatterax and began to build up ramming speed. Shatterax extended his Blades and struck the young hero. He managed to draw blood but didn’t prevent Nemesis from completing the move through. Nemesis hit Shatterax with the power of a runaway train sending him into a wall. Shatterax regretted his choice of actions as his consciousness faded away. Solarr became solid and threw Supremor into the middle of the hanger bay. Supremor regained his feet and detached some of his tentacles that wrapped around Thunderbolt. The heroes soon overpowered all the villains except Korath. Korath made a desperate attempt to escape but eventually he was forced to surrender. Nemesis contacted Lillandria, the Shi'ar Empress, using the galactic net. She soon responded to his message. When they informed her of the events she denied authorizing the attack. She was shocked to hear that Deathbird was in possession of an Omni-Wave projector. She said that Gladiator would come to take custody of the prisoners. She also gave the Star Guard possession of the former Kree base. While they were waiting for Gladiator Nemesis took the foci of the prisoners and destroyed them in the sun.
