                       DETERMINATION: Ozone Protection Act 1991




     Under Sub-section 24(1) of the Ozone Protection Act 1991, I , the Pollution Control
     Authority, hereby determine that the course specified below is an approved course
     for the purposes of the Act.

     Institute:      ACT Institute of Technical and Further Education - School of
                     Electrical and Electronic Studies
     Course:         Control of ChIorofluorocarbon Emission for Commercial, Industrial
                     and Domestic Refigeration Users.
     Syllabus:       A sound knowled e of the Code of Good Practice for the Reduction
                     of Emissions of &loroff uorocarbons (CFC's) in Refrigeration and
                     Air Conditioning Applications and Domestic Refrigeration
                     Applications.
                     An understanding of the A.C .T. Ozone Protection Act 1991 and
                     reguIations .
                     An understanding of ozone depletion and its consequences.                                       ,




     Duration:       Four hours.


     A person who wishes to undertake this course must satisfy the following
     requirements:
             (a) be a practicing refrigeration mechanic; or
             (b) be a person practicing in the service of air-conditioning units.
