Colin Lyons
Lyons‟ work examines the esthetic allure of lost boomtowns after the bust. Adapting the
industrial based medium of printmaking to a sculptural practice, Lyons creates paper
factories from prints and uses the plates to create zinc sculptures. The work will be
installed to create the tableau of a former industrial centre. Considering Saskatoon‟s
own history including boom and bust phases of development, this exhibition will
resonate with a broad audience. During his stay here, Lyons will present an artist talk.

Neal McLeod
Neal McLeod is a painter, filmmaker, performance artist, satirist and comedian who is
currently Associate Professor, in the Native Studies Department, at Trent University, in
Peterborough, Ontario. Born and raised in Northern Saskatchewan, McLeod was
exposed to Cree narratives from a very young age. These recent paintings investigate
the multiple dimensions of a character that appeared in many of these stories - the
wîhtikow - an evil spirit-being that consumes humans in order to satisfy its greed and self-
absorption.

participate in a pilot project for the newly minted Canadian Forces Artists Program and
was sent to Afganistan. MacKay's movement was restricted to the Kandahar airfield
