This is a great trip for those of you who have never been to Europe or who have not had time enough in these two exciting cities!
With 4 nights in each city, London and Paris, we have included a lot of the sites you need to see but also have allowed free time to
do things with new friends from the group, so get your list ready of all things you have ever wanted to see in these two cities! We will
have a local guide there to assist you with ideas and to help you make plans to see what you want to see in these two favorite
European capitals.
We’ll also take the train under the English Channel from London to Paris-it is an experience everyone should do as it is considered
one of the seven wonders of the modern world.

With new friends from the group, you’ll have time to try some great restaurants in both London and Paris, maybe see a West End
show in London, or take some optional trips outside the cities to explore the countryside. There is so much to see and do, in and
around these cities, your week will be full and you’ll enjoy your time with other singles exploring so much!
               You may want to take our Ireland trip prior to this trip and save!! Travel on both trips and save $100!

        London-Half Day City Sightseeing Tour
        On a panoramic drive see such sites as Westminster Abbey, Whitehall, Downing Street, the Houses of Parliament, the
        London Eye, and Big Ben. Witness the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace- (Subject to occurrence. If it is not
        taking place, you’ll view Buckingham Palace & visit the Horse Guards Parade).
        Scenic cruise on the Thames River, where you will view St. Paul's Cathedral and Shakespeare's Globe Theater.
        Paris-Half Day City Sightseeing Tour
        See Place des Pyramides, the Opéra, Place Vendôme, Concorde Square, Champs-Elysées Avenue, Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel
        Tower, Invalides, Orsay Museum, Notre-Dame Cathedral, Sorbonne, Pantheon Church and the Hotel Saint-Germain-des-
        Prés, in the heart of the Latin Quarter. Visit the famous Louvre Museum. One Hour Seine River Cruise

$1899 per person, double occupancy; land only (remember we can assign a roommate). Add $695 if you want a room to yourself
(very limited single rooms).
$75       London, August 9, Sunday Day 4, Windsor Castle -1/2 Day optional tour. Pay by final payment.
Airfare & airport transfers: are additional. You need to fly into London & out of Paris airports.
We can assist you with airline flights (some on same flights as others) or you may book your own online for some good rates. Fares
are based on availability at time of booking. We need your air schedule ASAP
Airport transfers are not included but are easy in both cities. We will try to coordinate people within the group for group transfers to
keep the transfer rates lower if we can get enough for each transfer grouping.
Travel Insurance is highly recommended. An insurance packet will be mailed to you with your deposit invoice receipt. Please read it
carefully and call the insurance company directly to sign up.
A valid U.S. passport is required for entry into Europe for U.S. citizens and it should be valid up to 6 months past the trip date. Non-
U.S. citizens, consult your local consulate for passport/visa requirements.
Price Does Not Include airfare & taxes, airport transfers, travel insurance, tips to drivers/guides, drinks not included with included
meals; items of a personal nature-i.e. Phone calls, laundry, incidental hotel charges.
This trip is for the active single who likes to ‘get out and about’ as this trip involves a lot of walking and has some walking on
uneven or rough cobblestones. You should be in relatively good health and have the ability to walk a minimum of several blocks with
some uphill walks and stairs.
Fine Print – London and Paris, August 6-15, 2009
Your payment for a reservation on this trip constitutes consent and acknowledgement of all the provisions in
this Fine Print listed below and in the Singles Travel Company General Terms and Conditions. Please make
sure you read both of these important pieces of information and call us with any questions. Hotels are subject to
change per our tour operator.
Payments: A deposit of $300 payment preferred by check (payable to Travelin’ Singles) or credit card is
accepted, and is due with your reservation. We need your sign up form also.
Final payments are due 91 days prior to departure date, checks preferred or check cards accepted.
Cancellation Fees and Refunds: All cancellations must be in writing. The deposit is refundable up to 100 days
prior to the trip minus a $100 processing fee. Cancellations 99 days or less to the trip departure date - no refund
of monies paid will be provided. No show, no refund. No refunds on unused portions of the tour package.
After airline tickets are issued, airline cancellations are per the airline’s policy. Travel/Trip cancellation
insurance is highly recommended; please consider the purchase of it very carefully for this adventure trip.

Day 1      Thurs.      August 6          Depart USA                  Depart on your overnight flight to London to start your vacation!

Day 2     Fri. August 7            Arrive London             Arrival in London! Depending on your flight arrival time you can start
exploring! This evening, our welcome dinner to meet your fellow travelers is at your hotel.                                      (D)

Day 3     Sat.     August 8            London Sightseeing          After breakfast meet our local guide for your morning sightseeing.
View the icons of London on a panoramic drive, passing such sites as Westminster Abbey, Whitehall, Downing Street, the Houses of
Parliament, the London Eye, and Big Ben. When held, witness the Changing of the Guard* at Buckingham Palace. (*The Changing of
the Guard is subject to occurrence. If it is not taking place, the tour will view Buckingham Palace and visit the Horse Guards Parade.)
Conclude the tour with a scenic cruise on the Thames River, where you will view St. Paul 's Cathedral and Shakespeare's Globe
Theater. Tour ends on London 's Southbank.
The afternoon is free at leisure. Your Tour Escort will have some suggestions and ideas for the group to do. Or make sure you read
beforehand some of the sights and things you want to see while you have free time in London.                                          (B)

Day 4      Sun.       August 9         London Sightseeing        After breakfast you are free to enjoy London at your own pace or with
new friends from the group: perhaps take an optional tour to Windsor. Your Tour Escort will be available at your disposal for full 8
hours today to assist with optional tours or suggestions for the day.                                                                (B)
OPTIONAL TOUR: $75 per person - Local Guide and depart London for Windsor Castle, which has been occupied by successive
monarchs for over 900 years. William the Conqueror through the current Queen has all lived at Windsor. Visit St. George's Chapel
and the State Apartments. Enjoy time to admire the castle or meander through the historic town of Windsor. Return to London for free

Day 5     Mon.      August 10       London                    Free day at leisure to explore London with new friends from the group
at your own pace. Your Tour Escort will be available to give you some suggestions. Make sure you have read beforehand what you
want to see and do while in London.                                                                                               (B)

London ’s Hop-on/Hop off city tour-great way to get off where you want to see sites and then get back on! Afternoon Tea: A favorite meal of the
day for some: clotted cream, strawberry jam, Earl Grey Tea and little cucumber sandwiches, perhaps with a cream cake to finish. Maybe Brown’s,
The Ritz or Fortnum & Mason.               The Tate Modern, Tate Britain and National Galleries: Indulge!       --Museums and Galleries: The British
Museum, The Victoria & Albert, Sir John Soane's Museum, the Natural History and Science Museums, the Museum of London - to pick just a

Wax Museum           Kew Gardens: Gardens lay out over acres in a pleasant & wealthy London suburb, great for a sunny day.          Covent Garden:
shops and flower marts.         Day trip to Stonehenge and Bath           Hampton Court: A fantastic park and gardens (including the famous maze) and
lots of history.     The Theatre: Make sure you take in a show while in London. Londoners have been passionate about the theatre for centuries- not
only is the quality high, but the price is low - one-third the price of Broadway.

Day 6      Tues.      August 11        London To Paris via The Chunnel                After breakfast, transfer to the rail station and board
your train to Paris. Experience the 31-mile-long underwater tunnel-one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World. Upon arrival in
Paris, meet your local Paris tour escort who will be with you for full 8 hours per day. After transferring and checking into your hotel,
the remainder of the day is free to start exploring but be back in time for your included evening one hour Seine River Cruise.            (B)

Day 7      Wed. August 12               Paris Sightseeing         Discover the beauty of Paris from the comfort of your tour with your
local guide. See the principal landmarks of this fashionable city, beginning with the Place des Pyramides and continuing to the Opéra,
Place Vendôme, Concorde Square, Champs-Elysées Avenue, Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower, Invalides, Orsay Museum, Notre-Dame
Cathedral, Sorbonne, Pantheon Church and the Hotel Saint-Germain-des-Prés, in the heart of the Latin Quarter. Your tour will end
with a visit to the Louvre. Afternoon is free at leisure to continue exploring this ‘City of Lights ’ with friends from the group! Maybe
dinner tonight at a typical Parisian restaurant featuring local specialties!

Day 8      Thurs.      August 13       Paris Sightseeing          After breakfast, you are free to enjoy the city at your own pace with
friends from the group or on your own. Or perhaps take an optional tour to Versailles to relive the glorious period of Louis XIV, XV
and XVI as you see one of the largest and most influential formal gardens in the world. A half-day tour of Versailles allows you to
visit the Palace and State Apartments at your own pace. You will also have time to walk the palace grounds and formal gardens. Your
tour escort will be at your disposal for full 8 hours today to give you some suggestions or to arrange optional tours.                  (B)

Day 9       Fri.      August 14        Paris at Leisure          Today is free at leisure. Make sure you have read about Paris and what
there is to see and do before today so you can utilize your free time to see all the sights you want to see.

Paris City Hop-on-Hop-off bus tour --Visit Giverny-Monets home            --People watch along the Champs-Elysees at a sidewalk café
See the numerous museums including Musee d’Orsay, Musee Rodin, Musee National Picasso                  Shop at the big and famous
departments stores like Printemps and Galeries Lafayette and the Haute Couture                Shops found on Rue du Faubourg Saint-
Honoré and Avenue Montaigne           Visit Sacre-Coeur Basilica-at Montmartre, beautiful view of Paris; enjoy the many sidewalk artists
and restaurants.
This evening, we’ll transfer to a local restaurant for our evening farewell dinner to toast the end of our fun vacation in two of Europe’s

--The River: Walk along the South Bank from Tower Bridge to Lambeth. The best of London is spread out for you: The Houses of
Parliament, Lambeth Palace (residence of the Archbishop of Canterbury), Shakespeare's Globe theatre, Both Tate Galleries, St Paul 's
Cathedral, The South Bank Centre, The Temple, or The London Eye. Or you can take a boat out to Greenwich, the Thames Barrier or
the Dome.              The Parks: Lots of parks! Walk from Westminster to Holland Park all in the parks. The view from the bridge in
St James Park towards Whitehall is fantastic. Regent's has excellent gardens and the famous zoo, Hyde Park has Speakers' Corner-
interesting (!), St James Park has the lake and pelicans, Green Park is stately and royal and Kensington Gardens houses the Royal
Costume collection. Holland Park has the Orangery and an Opera House.
