1.0 SCOPE:

    1.1 This procedure details monitoring and processing Classified employee evaluations.

5.0 DEFINITIONS:

    5.1 Filemaker- A database program used widely throughout the District to sort data.

    5.2 HR – Human Resources

6.0 PROCEDURE:

    6.1 When an employee is hired, the probation start and end dates are recorded in the computer.

    6.2 In January each year, a list of all employees who require an evaluation is prepared using the computer. This
         information is copied into Filemaker. This program sorts the evaluations due for each location

    6.3 A cover memo is prepared, attached to the list of evaluations due and sent to the location along with copies of a
        blank evaluation forms – Classified Employee Performance Evaluation Report (CLS-F005), Classified
        Evaluation Factor Checklist (CLS-F006).

    6.4 The supervisor of the location completes the performance evaluation and returns it to HR.

    6.5 The Personnel Specialist reviews the evaluation to assure that it is complete and that remarks are appropriate
        to the evaluation. If the evaluation fails this review, it is returned to the originating supervisor. Additional
        instruction may be given to the supervisor. The evaluation is revised, signed by the employee and returned to
        HR.

    6.6 When finalized, the Personnel Specialist updates the evaluation date in Filemaker.

7.0 MEASUREMENT: The percentage of required evaluations that are completed each year.
