Volume
Unlocking the Equipment Cabinet
1. Set the combination
Ensure the combination is entered correctly. Ensure that the tumblers are seated properly in a row.
2. Push up on the lock.
Pushing up on the shackle releases the locking mechanism.
3. After unlocking immediately reset the lock tumblers
Reset the 4 tumblers on the combination lock to “0000”.
4. Ensure audio amplifier is on.
The green power light should be illuminated. (Audio amplifier not located in all rooms)
5. The following are stored in the cart:
PROJECTOR REMOTE VCR/ DVD REMOTE WIRELESS CLICKER REMOTE KEYBOARD MOUSE
Be careful not to pinch the keyboard cable in the cabinet doors. This will cause costly damage to the keyboard.

Locking the Equipment Cabinet
1. Turn off Projector
Aim the projector remote at the ceiling mounted projector and rapidly press the power button twice. If successful, you should see all the blue illuminated buttons on the ceiling projector turn off except for one. The projector will now begin its shutdown procedure. Note: The circular blue power button will remain illuminated while the fan cools down the bulb. After the projector has cooled down the power button will blink on and off indicating that the projector is shutdown and in standby mode.
2. Turn off Computer
Eject any USB storage device or disc you may have inserted in the computer. o Windows: Go to My Computer. Right click on the drive and select Eject. o Macintosh: Drag disk/ drive icon to trash can. Navigate to the appropriate computer menu and select shutdown. o Windows: Click on the Start icon lower left corner> Click on Shutdown> Click ok. o Macintosh: Click on the Apple icon in the upper left corner> Click on Shutdown.
3. Turn off VCR/ DVD 4. Leave audio amplifier on.
(Audio amplifier not located in all rooms)
5. Replace the following back in the cart:
PROJECTOR REMOTE VCR/ DVD REMOTE WIRELESS CLICKER REMOTE KEYBOARD MOUSE
7. Reset the lock tumblers
Reset the 4 tumblers on the combination lock to “0000” with the shackle in the open position. Push up to engage lock.

Computer/ Projector Startup
1st Turn on Computer
Power button is on left rear of the computer. (with your left hand reach behind the computer) After pressing the power button press & hold the Alt/ option key on the keyboard. Click twice on the operating system you prefer (Macintosh or Windows). o Inserting USB storage devices: USB ports are located on the right rear of the computer. o Inserting DVD or CD’s: Insert disc with label facing you into the slot on the right side of the computer.
2nd Turn on Projector
While standing in front of the projection screen aim remote at the projector and quickly press the power button. Wait patiently for 10 seconds for the projector to process your command. After 45

Clicker- Startup
1st Turn on Clicker
Power slide switch is on left side of the presentation clicker. Slide the selector switch to the on position. The clicker will vibrate once confirming it is on.
2nd Open PowerPoint File
Open your PowerPoint file. You may launch your presentation by either: o Clicking on the Presentation View icon in PowerPoint program. o Pressing the F5 key on the keyboard. o Pressing the F5/ esc button on the clicker. Click the “<” Backward or Forward “>”button to run through your presentation.
Clicker- Shutdown
1st End Presentation
End your presentation by either: a. Pressing the Esc key on the keyboard. b. Pressing the F5/ esc button on the clicker.
2nd Close PowerPoint File
Close the PowerPoint software application.
3rd Turn off Clicker
Power slide switch is on left side of the presentation clicker. Slide the selector switch to the off position.
Additional Clicker Features:
Laser Pointer- A laser pointer is located in between the Backward and Forward buttons. Volume- Computer volume can be controlled via buttons on the left side of the clicker. Timer- A timer can be set to notify you with a vibration when time has expired. a) b) c) d) e) Press once to enter time value (Display will blink). Additional presses will increment timer by 5 (0:05) minutes. Press and hold button to reset time to 0:00 5 seconds after last press the timer begins counting down. Timer will vibrate with 5 (0:05) and 2 (0:02) minutes remaining and when time expires.

Playing a DVD Movie
1. Boot or reboot the computer as a Macintosh
Power button is on left rear of the computer. (with your left hand reach behind the computer) After pressing the power button press & hold the Alt/ option key on the keyboard. Click twice on the Macintosh hard drive icon.
2. Insert DVD
Insert DVD: Insert disc with label facing you into the slot on the right side of the computer. Wait patiently for 2-3 minutes seconds for the computer to launch the DVD player program. Use the mouse to select and play your movie.
3. Pause/ Stop/ Scan Forward/ Eject DVD
Slide mouse pointer to the bottom edge of the screen. Click to make your selection.
4. Shutdown Macintosh
Click on the Apple icon in the upper left corner> Click on Shutdown.
Playing a VHS Tape
1. Turn on VCR
Push the power button
2. Insert VHS Tape/ Press Play 3. Switch video source for projector
a. While standing in front of the projection screen aim remote at the projector and press the source button. Wait patiently for 10 seconds for the projector to process your command. Repeat as necessary.
4. Pause/ Stop/ Eject VHS tape
a. Push the respective button on the VCR unit or remote.

1. Volume levels for the computer.
On the keyboard press F11 to decrease the volume or F12 to increase volume
2. Volume levels for the computer and the VCR/ DVD with amplifier (big black box above the VCR/ DVD).
Ensure that the green power on indicator light is illuminated. The Master volume (knob on the amplifier) controls the overall volume. The Aux 1 knob controls the volume for the computer. The Aux 2 knob controls the volume for the VCR/ DVD.
3. Volume levels for the computer and the VCR/ DVD without amplifier.
a. The Master volume (big knob on one of the speakers) controls the overall volume. The knob should be set to the 4 o’clock position for normal listening volume.

Adjusting the Audio Volume
Troubleshooting:
The computer is turned on but the projector is not projecting.
Solution 1:
Check indicator lights on the projector: One blinking blue light= Multiple blue lights= One steady blue light= Standby mode, projector is ready to be turned on. Projector is on, 1-2 minutes to warm up. Cool down mode (1-2 minutes), projector is cooling down, is not ready to use.
After pressing a button on the projector remote control wait patiently for 10 seconds for the projector to process your command.
Solution 2:
Check input Source. Aim the projector remote at the projector and firmly press the “Source” button, repeat as necessary.

The computer, booted in Windows, does not play my DVD video.
Solution 1:
Please boot the computer as a Macintosh and reinsert the DVD. The DVD should auto play.
The projector is showing the video input from VHS player and not the computer.
Solution:
Check input Source. Aim the projector remote at the projector and firmly press the “Source” button, repeat as necessary.
After pressing a button on the projector remote control wait patiently for 10 seconds for the projector to process your command.

I can’t unlock the equipment cabinet.
Solution:
Enter the 4 digit code and push the shackle in to release the lock mechanism.
I can’t lock the equipment cabinet.
Solution:
Reset the four tumblers to “0000” with the shackle open and then push the shackle in.
Is the cabinet plugged in to electrical power?
Solution:
There is a master power switch located on the right side of the surge protector in the cabinet. If the lights are on, then the cart has power.
