FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

JAMAICA CELEBRATES THE FIRST AIRTRAN AIRWAYS FLIGHTS FROM
                     ATLANTA TO MONTEGO BAY
Daily Nonstop Flight Begins February 11

KINGSTON, JAMAICA – February 11, 2010 – Jamaica welcomed the first AirTran Airways
flight from Atlanta today. To officially kick off the new nonstop service, a gate-side Jamaican-
style celebration took place at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) just prior to
the inaugural flight.

“The new nonstop flight from AirTran makes it even easier for travelers from Atlanta to visit
Jamaica. Just a three-hour flight away, Jamaica is an easily accessible warm-weather escape,”
said Jamaica’s Director of Tourism John Lynch. “With more than 150 attractions, an assortment
of accommodations from rustic to luxurious and natural beauty that ranges from the crystal blue
Caribbean Sea to the lush Blue Mountains, Jamaica has something for everyone.”

Prior to boarding, passengers on the inaugural flight were treated to the reggae rhythms of a
Jamaican band, tropical fruit smoothies and had a chance to interact with Atlanta based
Jamaica Tourist Board representative Tamara Christie to learn even more about the destination.
Upon arrival in Montego Bay, the flight was welcomed with a ceremonial water arch, and as
passengers entered the terminal they were greeted with a mento band, welcome beads and a
special reception with Jamaica’s Minister of Tourism Edmund Bartlett.

“We are extremely excited to be starting new service to Montego Bay, Jamaica,” said Roger
Morenc, Director of Revenue Management for AirTran Airways. “Our passengers can enjoy low
fares and high-quality service to one of the most beautiful destinations in the Caribbean.”
The daily nonstop flight departs ATL at 12:25 p.m. and arrives at MBJ at 3:10 p.m. The
Northbound flight departs MBJ at 1:09 p.m. and arrives at ATL at 4:06 p.m.

AirTran Airways launched two additional nonstop flights to Jamaica today from Baltimore and
Orlando.
