EXHIBITION GUIDE 2008 PSORIASIS FROM GENE TO CLINIC: 5TH INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS THE ROYAL COLLEGE OF PHYSICIANS, LONDON, U.K Access The building is open at 08:00 until 22:00hrs for deliveries. Access to the Osler/ Long Rooms is through the disabled entrance (to the left of the front of the building). The lift there will take you straight up to the Osler room. Please refer to the attached map for details of access. Please note that access to the exhibition room is limited and your stand should be designed taking into consideration these limitations. Audio visual Audio visual services are available to exhibitors through the RCP. Please forward details of any requirements to conference@bad.org.uk Build up and breakdown Build up for the exhibition will commence at 18:30hrs on Wednesday 3rd December, the venue will close at 23:00hrs that evening. Breakdown in the Long/Osler Rooms will commence at 13:00hrs on Saturday 6th December and should be completed by 18:00hrs. Cars can park near the main entrance for unloading purposes and should be moved to the nearby car park (space permitting) immediately after. The College holds a limited number of trolleys for moving heavier items and these are available on request from Reception. Build height The maximum build height for all stands is 2.80 meters. Cleaning The BAD will organise for the exhibition area to be cleaned on a daily basis, however excessive mess or dirt caused by the specific companies will be charged accordingly. Deliveries Delivery of stands/boxes/papers to rooms are the sole responsibility of the exhibitor. Deliveries should be between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00. Please do not ask the reception staff, as they are not permitted to leave the registration desk. Electrical power Each exhibition space will have access to a power point. Exhibitors should provide their own electrical multiple adapter sockets. Should you have any additional electrical requirements, please contact conference@bad.org.uk as soon as possible. Exhibitor badges Each sponsor can be issued with up to a maximum of six exhibitor passes which should be worn at all times by exhibition representatives. Please supply the names of your representatives on the sheet provided by Friday 14th November 2008. These badges will not however permit entrance to the scientific sessions. First aid A first aider will be on site each day to provide First Aid support. Please contact either a BAD or RCP representative should you require assistance. Floor coverings The Long and Osler rooms are carpeted. You must lay floor flats or a platform in order to furnish your stand with alternative floor coverings. Furniture As part of your exhibition package, two chairs and one trestle table per company (6ft or 4ft) can be provided if requested. Please see the requirements form to make your booking. Organiser contact The organiser’s office will be located on registration near the entrance to the Royal College of Physicians. If you wish to contact me please see a member of staff there. Parking Car parking for exhibitors can not be booked in advance. Depending on availability they will be available on a first come first served basis at a cost of £25.00 per day which must be paid on arrival. Credit card payments are accepted. Photography Special permission is required for all photographs, filming and video taping within the College precincts. Porters Please contact the RCP Meeting and Events department if you require any assistance from a porter. Portering hours are generally 0600 – 2000. Porters are available to assist @ £25.00 per hour (minimum 4 hours). Rubbish / Waste Please ensure during build up and break down that all waste is placed in the bins provided. Excessive or bulky waste may have to be disposed of off site. Smoking The College operates a no-smoking policy. We would be grateful if you could inform your contractors and representatives of this policy and ensure that they do not smoke in the college nor on the grounds or car park. Stand catering Minimal catering is permitted on stands (i.e. sweets and snacks) however any substantial catering should be organised through the caterers at the Royal College of Physicians.
