Buyer Selection Guide
Home buyer: Job address: Specification approval date: Job #
Building a new home is a very exciting experience. We hope to make it as pleasurable as possible for you and your family. There are a couple of things that we must review and clarify before we get started. Two copies of this Selection Guide are enclosed. Use one as your working copy; the other will be returned to our office. We ask that all selections be completed, signed and returned to Wall Construction, LLC on the indicated due dates. We will assign due dates for each item as it is discussed. Please allow yourself plenty of time—it usually takes twice the time you think it will to complete the selections. The four weeks given to make final selections is also the time to finalize any changes. Any changes to specifications, drawings, and/or selections after this date could be very expensive to implement. It is VERY IMPORTANT that selections be made within the time noted (and in the Building Specifications) so that materials can be ordered and on the job as needed. Delays add to the cost of construction and therefore, if selections are not available to us as needed, we will either have to make alternate selections for you or pass the additional charges (such as interest, etc.) along to you. When making selections, note that all materials and labor incorporated in a Wall Construction, LLC home are obtained by Wall Construction, LLC. This ensures quality and control, which in turn gives us a warranty on which we can stand. Any other materials (and/or work to be done by other subcontractors) will have to be installed after the close. Prior to your visit to the suppliers we request that you contact the people listed on the selection reference list and schedule a meeting with them. They are familiar with our procedures and they will be very helpful in your selections process. Please transfer the information you get from the supplier to this selection guide. The best way for us to convey the information about your home to our employees, subcontractors, and suppliers is to remain consistent in our method of communication. It is important that the copy that you return to us is legible and as complete as possible. Try to select items that are readily available. Items that delay the job delay closing and can add additional expense to the cost of your home. If the Plan or Building Specifications are changed in any way by means of this Selection Guide, it will be your responsibility to document the change and let us know. Please make a special note to that effect to ensure that proper procedures are used all the way through the construction of that item (e.g., flooring, cabinet layout, paint vs. stain, etc.). For your own safety, we request that you call the office and schedule all of your visits to the job site. Please feel free to call the office if you have any questions or comments about your selections or your home in general. A call during the morning hours will usually enable us to contact subcontractors and/or suppliers so that we can have an answer for you that day. We appreciate your consideration with regard to these requests and thank you for your cooperation.

Note: Due to the nature and composition of wood from piece to piece and species to species, there will very likely be shade variation in the staining process.
