Greater Shepparton Business @ Home is a joint initiative of the Victorian Government StreetLife program and the Greater Shepparton City Council In 1997 Wayne and Nikki Moon brought an all ready established company Tatura Nightwatch Security. At the time the business was small and conducted from the family home with their one year old son. The business was not earning enough to employ anyone for the first five years and Wayne and Nikki only managed two days off, which was for their wedding! Wayne and Nikki felt the hardest problem was learning to trust others to run your company with the same quality service your clients expect. At one stage they did try and sell their business, but found a lack of interest as not many people want to work 24/7, I bet they are glad it didn’t sell now! Four years on Wayne and Nikki have two children, the business is growing and they employ three casuals. Some of their duties include patrols, static guards in supermarkets, security at functions, Seymour Field Days, Stanhope Field Days, footy grand finals and guess what? Their business still runs from home! Wayne and Nikki are now on an additional venture into Data Storage which is called T.N.S Data storage, they store back-up disks in a fire proof vault, document storage and document shredding. Their future goal is to have the data storage establish it’s self and hopefully be able to employ some one on a full-time basis to do the night patrols. If you would like more information, give Wayne and Nikki a call on 0418 149 334. Tatura Nightwatch Security, a fantastic example of a successful home based business!
