BOULDER COUNTY DEMOCRATS ARE YOU PROPERLY REGISTERED By October make

BOULDER COUNTY DEMOCRATS ARE YOU PROPERLY REGISTERED? By October 6, make sure the Boulder County Clerk knows your correct name & address (sometimes people forget to re-register with the Clerk when they move or change their name). Use this handy guide when you vote by mail, vote early, or vote on Election Day DEAR VOTER, On November 4th, we can make history by replacing perhaps the worst President of modern times with a Democrat in touch with real American values and interests at home and abroad; we can also increase our hard-won Democratic majorities in the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate. Colorado will play a central role in this quest. ✔ You can call the Boulder County ✔ OR use their online LookUp tool: http://www.bouldercounty.org/ clerk /elections/voterreg/ promptforname.aspx ✔ Here you can confirm that your contact information is up to date, find your polling place, see if your Mail-in Ballot has been mailed/ received/processed, and view a sample of what your ballot will look like (which races and ballot issues you’ll be voting on). Clerk at 303-413-7740 Boulder County Democrats make it happen. Our county delivered over 50,000 vote majorities to Governor Ritter in 2006 and John Kerry in 2004. If we can increase Boulder County voter turnout even more, our candidates for President and U.S. Senate, Barack Obama and Mark Udall, will almost certainly carry the state. And our county’s 4th congressional district voters can provide Democrat Betsy Markey the margin she needs to retire Marilyn Musgrave. County Democrats are fielding an excellent contingent of state legislative and local government candidates who need your votes to keep our county solid blue. Finally, there is a long list of ballot propositions that touch on issues at the core of Democratic Party values: a woman’s right to choose, the ability of unions to organize and effectively represent workers, protection of civil rights, diversity of educational and economic opportunity, and the overhaul of state taxing and spending so that Colorado can deal with the promises and challenges of the 21st century. What a great way to eliminate confusion and stress when you vote! FEEL FLATTERED by how much your vote matters to all those people who call. Want fewer calls anyway? ■ VOTE EARLY because campaigns that check with the County Clerk won’t need to call you when they know you voted. ■ VOTE BY MAIL and about a week after the County Clerk receives your ballot, you will appear on a list of people who have already voted. ■ VOTE IN EVERY ELECTION because campaigns often focus on infrequent voters. They want you to know that your vote always matters. ■ REGISTER AS A DEMOCRAT (if you are registered as Unaffiliated) — then you’ll only receive calls from one party, not both! ID REQUIREMENTS You need ONLY ONE of these forms of approved identification with you to vote at your polling place: ❑ Valid Colorado driver’s license ❑ Valid identification card issued by the Colorado Dept. of Revenue ❑ Valid US passport ❑ Valid US military ID card with photo ❑ Valid Medicare or Medicaid card ❑ Certified birth certificate copy ❑ Certified documentation of naturalization ❑ Valid student ID card with photo from a Colorado institution of higher education ❑ Current utility bill, bank statement, paycheck, showing name and address * indicates that the Boulder County Democratic Party did not make a recommendation.
