groups favourite. You bring your own drinks (no corkage charged). There is an off-licence a
little further north along Walton St.
2. Jamals, 108 Walton St. (01865 310102) – large Indian restaurant suitable for a big group
with good food.

3. Aziz Pandesia, 1 Folly Bridge (01865 247775) – riverside location with pontoon area.
Exciting fusion of Indian, Thai and Chinese dishes.
4. Shanghai 30s*, 82 St Aldates (01865 242230) – top-end Chinese restaurant with excellent
food and service. Located in a 15th century building with oak paneling
5. Chiang Mai Kitchen, 130A High St. (01865 202233) – great Thai restaurant in amazing
surroundings. At the heart of the city just off the High St.
6. Thai Orchid, 58A St Clements (01865 798044) - Authentic award winning Thai cuisine, well
worth the walk.
7. Edamame, 15 Holywell St (01865 246916) award winning restaurant serving Japanese
home cooking a short distance from Broad St. No sushi.

pleasant atmosphere with good service.
9. Le Petit Blanc*, 71 - 72 Walton St (01865 510999) – Raymond Blanc’s brasserie offers

excellent salads.

vegetarian selection.

etc served with Hook Norton beers. Not at inflationary prices.

dishes. Relaxed, bustling atmosphere good for large groups and families.
Virtually all pubs we recommend serve English food such as fish & chips and pies
