Supporting the purchase of SMARTBoards
and LCD projectors across campus.
M E S S A G E F R O M T H E P R I N C I PA L
Welcome to Gentlemen’s Evening 2007!
Gentlemen’s Evening was started with a dual purpose to bring
the gentlemen of the Branksome Hall community together in
a fun and social setting, and to raise important funds for the benefit
of our students. Thanks to your support and generosity this evening,
we will open the next school year with new SMARTBoards
and LCD projectors for use in classrooms and common
areas across campus. This technology will enhance the learning
experience of our students and optimize the efforts
of our teachers. All of our students and teachers on both sides
of campus will benefit from this equipment.
On behalf of our students, I extend a heartfelt thank you
for enabling us to fulfill this need.
A dedicated group of current fathers and past fathers has devoted
countless hours to organizing tonight’s auctions and activities.
My sincere appreciation is extended to the Gentlemen’s
Evening Committee, and particularly to your co-chairs,
Phil Gilbert and D.J. Wiley, for the time,
effort and dedication that they have put into this evening’s event.
Thank you to all attendees and to our many supporters for
your participation in tonight’s activities and for your commitment
to Branksome Hall. Enjoy your evening!
Karen Murton
1 GENTLEMEN’S EVENING 2007
WELCOME FROM THE CO-CHAIRS
Gentlemen,
On behalf of our committee,
we welcome you to the 2007 Gentlemen’s Evening.
This evening you will be treated to a culinary extravaganza complemented
by perfectly matched wines. You will be entertained by Hal Hannaford
as he auctions off some very unique and exiting packages.
And that is only half of the evening’s entertainment. From our oyster
shuckers to the casino portion of the evening, we are confident that
you will enjoy Gentlemen’s Evening 2007.
Tonight we have the opportunity to do something very special.
The proceeds from this evening’s event will be used to purchase state-of-the-art
multimedia equipment for Branksome classrooms that will enrich
the students’ learning experiences. Branksome students push beyond
the expected and deliver on the extraordinary everyday —
the tools that we give them tonight will play an important role in helping
them achieve their goals and reach new levels of excellence.
We have been very fortunate to benefit from the passion,
creativity and perseverance of this year’s committee members.
We applaud their hard work and extend our sincere thanks to
the committee for their commitment to the school.
A very special thank you also goes out to our many
contributors to tonight’s auctions.
The success of this evening now rests in your hands and to that end,
we ask you to please take the time to review our auction
catalogue in detail. There are fine wines, many wonderful travel excursions,
golf packages galore and several experiences of a lifetime
that can all be yours. Please remember, when you are bidding
throughout the evening, that Branksome students are
the beneficiaries of our support.
Let’s make the 2007 Gentlemen’s Evening the best ever and show how
much we care about our daughters’ education and experience.
Phil Gilbert and D.J. Wiley
