									BankManager Demonstration Quick Setup Guide


Install from CD

Place your BankManager CD in your CD drive. The CD should start and display this
screen:
If you want to read a summary of BankManager features click on the “Read About
Features link; if you want to read the Quick Setup Guide click on Quick Setup Guide; if
you want to install, click on the Install link to install.

The installation will proceed. Click Yes or OK as appropriate to have the installation
complete.

This process will add BankManager to your programs list in your PC.

Find BankManager on your start menu and double click on it to start BankManager.


Setup BankManager

As BankManager start you will see the following:




This is a pre-release demonstration copy. We are still testing this to ensure that it meets
our very high standards and adding a few value added features. As a result we will not
ever be unlocking this copy for general use. We are happy to accept suggestions for
improving this product and advance purchase orders. We expect a production version to
be available in late 2006 or January 2007. Please contact support@bankmanager.biz with
suggestions and sales@bankmanager.biz with orders.

After you click OK, the following will appear:
Click Exit to continue with your setup. The form will tell you how many days you have
left with your demo. The demonstration has 30 calendar days from installation. There are
no exceptions.



Login

He following now appears:
You must enter a username and password to proceed. The initial username and passwords
are: admin for username and Admin for password (note the capital A in the password).
You will have the option of adding other usernames and passwords later (if you need).



Setup your Bank

You must now setup up your bank. There are two steps at this stage: the first is to record
the name of your bank; the second is to identify at least one Correspondent Bank. This
page lets you do this.




You must also identify which currencies you are using with this correspondent bank. To
add more than one correspondent bank, click the “Add New Correspondent Bank” button.
The Main Menu




The main menu looks like this. Click on an item on the left to get the submenu items on
the right.
Bank Setup




Choosing the Bank Setup item on the left produces the setup menu on the right. If you
click Bank Setup on the right hand side you will get the Bank Setup page you used when
you first started the program.


User Setup

This is used if you want to add any additional user login names and/or change passwords.
As with all screens in BankManager, as each screen opens, you are normally presented
with an ADD or EDIT/VIEW option. To add new data, click ADD, to review or change
existing data, click EDIT and select the data item you need from the select box.


Account Setup

This screen is the most important one in the setup. Here you create the accounts you will
offer, assign them to the appropriate correspondent bank and set their parameters.
The account name is the name you give this account, the description is a brief outline of
the account. Select the correspondent bank and assign the other variables that make up
the account (no of digits in account number, the account number range and whether you
permit negative balances. You also choose what currency is available for this account.
You can only choose from those currencies you have an account for at that correspondent
bank. BankManager is designed to have a separate account for each currency at each
correspondent bank.

You also establish your fee structure here. You do not have to use all the available fees,
just those you want. You also set the interest rate for this account.

When the account is created, BankManager will create an account in the banks name to
receive fees etc.


Currency Setup

This is used to add any additional currencies or to edit any features of existing currencies.


Customer Setup
If you choose this option on the Main Menu, you have the option to add or maintain
customer detail or to introduce customer balances from another system.

The customer setup screen looks like this:




You can record your customer details here. If you enter the customer’s email address you
will have the option of sending statements direct from this program to the customer. You
must select one or more accounts for this customer. If you set the selected accounts up for
account opening fees you will be prompted to check that you want them applied (you
may not want to if you were transferring from another system for example).


Enter Customer Opening Balances

This option is to allow you to enter balances from another system without attracting any
fees.

Once you have undertaken the steps above, you are ready to start running your bank with
your customers.
