What are the Benefits of Application Pack 2?
Application Pack 2 (AP2) for the Blackboard Learning System™ – CE & Vista Licenses provides improved quality and stability throughout the software, as well as significant technology updates. These enhancements, along with improved efficiency for instructors and increased ease-of-use for administrators, make AP2 an integral release for Vista 4 and CE 6 systems. To ensure that users who want to know more about AP2 can do so easily, Blackboard has formed a dedicated, cross-functional team called the AP2 Upgrade Team.

How Do I Work with the AP2 Upgrade Team?
The team is segmented into regions: Asia-Pacific, Europe and the Middle East, and the eastern and western halves of the Americas. Members of each team live in-region and are focused on assisting Blackboard users in that specific area. AP2 Upgrade Team members are available to help in many ways, including:
AP2 Webinars – These Webinars can be found in
the Blackboard Webex Meeting Center (https:// blackboard.webex.com). Simply look for the term “App Pack 2” under the Meeting Center tab. Webinar topics vary from a general overview of AP2 to technical overviews, to interviews with users who have upgraded successfully. Each in-region team conducts one Webinar every two weeks.
AP2 Upgrade Wiki – In this collaborative space,
Blackboard users can interact directly with the AP2 Upgrade Team and receive feedback from other users. The wiki features a FAQ section, important documentation, information about best practices and known issues, Webinar and Office Hours schedules, tips and advice in blog postings and recordings by AP2 Upgrade Team members, and a Client Reports area where users can read about upgrades completed by other institutions and fill out their own reports in an easy-to-use template.
AP2 Office Hours – Designed to provide special
assistance, these live Webex sessions are dedicated to answering questions posed directly by Blackboard users. Bring your questions and AP2 Upgrade Team members will answer them or find the Blackboard staff member who can.
To participate in Office Hours, visit the Blackboard Webex Meeting Center and search for the term “App Pack 2” under the Meeting Center tab. Each in-region team holds Office Hours once a week. Check out the Behind the Blackboard wiki to view the current schedule.
The wiki is located on Behind the Blackboard™ under the Knowledgebase>CE/Vista Knowledgebase. Instructions on how to visit the wiki directly are available at http:// www.blackboard.com/ap2 under “Trouble Logging into the Wiki” link.
