ASP/ASP.net Programmer – Contract-to-Hire
Informa Economics is seeking a .NET Software Developer / Programmer (mid level) for a 6 month contract-to-hire basis. Tasks include but not limited to: Analyze and develop custom multi-tier applications and portals. Strong written and oral communication is important in order to complete analysis and requirements that are turned into functional applications. The individual should be able to multitask, lead and mentor other software developers. The person should also be self-motivated and have strong organizational skills that support customers and a positive collaborative team environment. Requirements: - Four year college degree desired. - Experience working in small teams on critical projects for large-scale clients. - At least five years programming experience in a major web development language, such as Active Server Pages. - At least two years experience in Microsoft .NET development. - At least three years experience in development of components in an object-oriented development language. - Must be willing to work in a Microsoft-centric environment and learn new and legacy technologies quickly. - Demonstrable knowledge and experience building N-tier web applications. - Thorough knowledge of HTML and supporting languages such as JavaScript. - Ability to quickly learn and master new concepts and new programming languages. - Ability to learn independently, leveraging existing code and documentation. - Highly developed deductive reasoning skills with ability to troubleshoot & resolve development issues - Experience with relational database design and development. - Ability to read and understand entity-relation diagrams and data models. - Strong attention to detail. - Strong oral and written skills. - Must demonstrate a history of creative approaches to problem-solving. - Experience with ASP.NET, C#, Web Services, ASP, JavaScript, HTML, N-Tier, RDBMS, IIS, XML, SOAP, DHTML, SQL Server 2005, .NET Components.
