the chief executive administers laws & finances of the state, appoint a whole bunch of people, and approves every bill passed by the two houses in the PA General Assembly. Term is 4 years, maximum 2 in succession. SALARY: $161,173. Elected jointly with the Lieutenant Governor, who serves a figurehead role comparable to the U.S. Vice President, SALARY: $135,383.
