Give the hypothesis and test whether to reject the null hypothesis.

ClassOf1 provides expert guidance to College, Graduate, and High school students on homework and assignment problems in
Math, Sciences, Finance, Marketing, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, and many other subjects.

Students in a business research methods course performed a completely randomized design to test the
strength of four brands of trash bags. Weights were placed into a bag one at a time until the bag broke.
The number of pounds required to break the bag was recorded. A total of 40 bags were tested. The data
in the attached file, “TRASHBAGS” gives the weight (in pounds) required to break all 40 of the trash

              a. Accurately state the null hypothesis to be tested in this business problem.

              b. Accurately state the research hypothesis to be tested in this business problem.

              c. At the 0.05 level of significance, is there evidence enough to reject the null hypothesis in this
case? If you believe there is evidence, review that evidence, to prove your point. If you believe there is
not enough evidence, explain why not.
