A4. USB for NT4.0 currently supports a subset of USB mice, keyboards, printers, hubs, and
Windows CE-based PDA cradles.
Q5. Does USB for NT4.0 support Palm devices?
A5. No, USB for NT4.0 only supports Windows CE-based PDA USB cradles.
Q6. Does USB for NT4.0 support scanners, digital cameras, or any external USB storage (e.g.
floppy drive, hard drive, CD-ROM drive, etc.)?
A6. No.
Q7. Does USB for NT4.0 support any USB reader including Compact Flash (CF), Smart Media,
and SD memory card?

Q8. Does USB for NT4.0 support all-in-one device printer/fax/scanner/copier?

Q9. Does USB for NT4.0 support either Toshiba e335 or e740 Pocket PC?
A9. No, USB for NT4.0 works with Toshiba e310 and e570 Pocket PC. Unfortunately, other
models are not supported.
Q10. What are the latest devices that USB for NT4.0 supports?
A10. They are Dell Axim Pocket PC, T-mobile, Loox, and ViewSonic Pocket PC V35 devices. In
order to get them working, however, a registry patch will be required.
Q11. Does BSQUARE plan to update the USB for NT4.0 driver to support other new devices?
A11. No, BSQUARE currently has no plan to update the USB for NT4.0 driver to support any new
devices. If you are an OEM/ODM and like your USB device to work on NT4.0 system, we have a
Professional Service Engineering (PES) group to provide customization work. Please contact

Q12. Does USB for NT4.0 enable USB keyboard/mouse before Windows NT4.0 Operating
System (OS) starts?
A12. No, USB for NT4.0 is a driver, which works under NT4.0 OS. Before the OS comes up, you
need to turn on USB keyboard/mouse support in BIOS.
Q13. Do the special function keys work on the keyboard?
A13. If your keyboard has special function keys, the special function keys may not work on NT4.
Our keyboard driver is compliant to the MS’s HID standard. Please note that these special
function keys will only work OS (other than Windows NT) with the manufacturer’s driver.
