Art show to feature new children’s gallery

SUGAR LAND, TX (August 22, 2007) – Calling artists of all ages! Sugar Land Town Square’s
second annual art show will take place on Saturday, September 29 from 5-8 p.m. and this year
will add a children’s competition.
“Last year’s show was a great success thanks to the participation of so many talented
artists. We anticipate this year to be even better with the addition of our children’s competition,”
said Rita Sosebee, marketing and event manager for SLTS Management Company, LLC.
Local artists will display their paintings, drawings, sculptures and photography in the
Plaza of Town Square. A panel of judges will determine the winners who will receive a gift
certificate to one of Sugar Land Town Square’s retailers. Adults and children ages 5-8, 9-12, and
13-18, will be judged in the following categories: best painting, best drawing and best sculpture.
Adults can also participate in a best photography category.
Additionally, everyone who attends the art show will have the opportunity to vote on
their favorite art. A “People’s Choice” award will be given to one child and one adult at the end
of the show.
All entry forms and copies of artwork must be submitted to Sugar Land Town Square by
Wednesday, September 19 to be considered for inclusion in the show. For a complete set of rules
