					                    Barri Carian Leads New Slate
                Of Officers for NAWBO-Orange County

ANAHEIM, Calif., Aug. 14, 2007 – A slate of successful Orange County
businesswomen, led by President Barri Carian, has been elected to new officer positions
in NAWBO-OC, the premier organization for women business owners in Orange County.

Carian, principal of Carian Consulting and chair of a CEO group in Vistage International,
has selected “Getting to the Heart Of It” as her 2007-08 theme for the chapter.

“The heart is the foundation of so many aspects of building a successful business. We
need to listen with our hearts,” explains Carian. “My goal for this year is to continue the
explosive growth of NAWBO as a resource where women of all levels of experience can
learn and grow and further their successful business lives.”

NAWBO-OC has grown to nearly 400 members, with particularly impressive growth
occurring during the past two years. During the coming year, Carian intends to lead the
NAWBO-OC board to increasing levels of participation among businesswomen in
Orange County. She adds, “I invite everyone, who has not yet experienced what we have
to offer at NAWBO, to join the heart and energy of our organization.”

Joining Carian as 2007-08 officers are: Cassie Hoag, President-Elect, Equity Architects
LLC; Camille Jayne, Immediate Past President, Matters at Hand; Lydia Welton,
Secretary, TEAMsmarts; Josefina de la Cruz, CPA, Treasurer, Josefina de la Cruz
Accounting; and Kimberly Gerber, Vice President, Member Services, Excelerate, Inc.
