SOUTHFIELD, Mich., March 4, 2003 – RouteOne LLC, a joint venture between
automotive finance leaders DaimlerChrysler Services, Ford Motor Credit Company,
GMAC and Toyota Financial Services, announced today that Nissan Motor Acceptance
Corporation (NMAC) will participate in the company’s online credit application
management system. The decision to join RouteOne was part of a multi-year technology
initiative at NMAC that will automate many aspects of the finance company’s operations.
NMAC is the first captive finance company to join RouteOne that is not affiliated with
the four founding members.
“We’ve focused a great deal of attention recently on technology, particularly
online credit applications,” said Jeffrey Edwards, NMAC’s vice president of operations.
“The RouteOne system will enable our company to offer a streamlined, improved credit
application process for Nissan dealers nationwide, directly benefiting Nissan customers.”
Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation, including its Infiniti Financial Services
(IFS) division, is the automotive financial services arm of Nissan North America. The
company offers financing for the complete line of Nissan and Infiniti vehicles sold in the
United States.
“Nissan recognizes that we will afford their dealers speed, access and simplicity
through the RouteOne system,” said Mike Jurecki, chief executive officer of RouteOne.
“We’re delighted to include NMAC among the rapidly growing list of finance sources
joining RouteOne.”

The RouteOne system, which is currently under development, will be open to all
indirect automotive finance sources, including captive finance companies, banks, non-
prime finance companies and credit unions. Dealers who have multiple brand franchises
will get the added benefit of using a common system across all of their brands.
Southfield, Michigan-based RouteOne will launch the new system later this year.
