Enfield Council Chooses Monster to Reduce
                   Recruitment Costs
Enfield Council Move Their Recruitment Process Online using

London, 17 May, 2007 — has been selected by Enfield
Council, London to provide recruitment services that have reduced
average recruiting time by 26 weeks. Monster beat stiff competition from
other online recruitment companies enabling the council to also reduce
their recruitment budget from £1million to £363,000 per year allowing
them to focus more resources on providing services to the 280,000
residents in Enfield.

The decision to use online recruitment was driven by a need to compete
with local private sector companies to recruit top talent and dedicated
staff. Enfield Council were also keen to reduce the time and budget spent
on recruitment and decided that moving to an online process would be the
best solution.

"My main priority has been to move the recruitment process on to the
internet wherever possible," said Adrian Kerr, Assistant Head of HR-
Recruitment at Enfield Council. "Too much bureaucracy and paper form-
filling is costly, time-consuming, bad for the environment and puts people
off applying for jobs in the first place."

Using, job advertisements online were made accessible to
the diverse range of applicants in the area through the council's free
internet access in libraries and information centres. Monster's advanced
candidate search techniques such as geographical targeting supported the
requirement to reduce time spent finding suitable local candidates.
Enfield Council also used Monster's CV database allowing them to enter
specific search criteria and target candidates with the right background
and experience within seconds.

"The public sector faces significant pressure to focus time and budgetary
resources on providing the very best services,” commented Rob Brouwer,
CEO, Monster UK and Ireland. “As a result, time saved using online
recruitment to find the ideal candidate can be channelled back into
supporting the local community. We are pleased that our offering can
enable local authorities such as Enfield Council to see the benefits gained
by transferring their recruiting process online."
