The University organises a University Card for issue to all new students on arrival in October. The
University Card Services prepares these cards using data supplied by the University Registry and
photographs supplied by students. You will need the University Card for College and University purposes
such as using libraries, and as a means of identification (e.g. to obtain student discounts in some local
shops).


Your photographs should:

             Show the head and the top of the shoulders only, with the face central.

             Show the unobscured face (i.e. no sunglasses, hat or scarf), unless you wear
             glasses or cover your hair for religious reasons.
             Be in focus.
             Be in colour, and have a plain light-coloured background.



There are two ways to supply the photographs:

1. Preferably email a digital photograph to admisisons@hughes.cam.ac.uk

2. If email is not possible, supply two copies of passport size (i.e. approx. 40mm x 50mm) and quality.
      Also:
      a) Put your name, date of birth, course and college clearly on the reverse of both copies,
               preferably on a typed label.
      b) Do not staple the photographs to any other paperwork.


PLEASE NOTE:

If photographs arrive after 31st August we are unable to guarantee that your card will be delivered before
the start of term.
