                             Guide for use in Studio

In Guide you were able to define your own menus using a special.aim file. In
Datamine Studio to access this file you will need to convert it to an HTML file
using a script provided. The following steps explain the procedure:

1. Copy the special.aim file into your C:\..\Dmstudio.140\Scripts directory.
2. Run the menuConverter.html file in the above directory by double clicking
   on it.
open a tab or aim file’and select the special.aim
3. On the tool bar click on ‘
   file in the browser.
4. If the file is correct click on the save button in the tool bar, click OK and
   close Internet Explorer.

5. 3 files have been created in the directory
   c:\..\Dmstudio.140\Custom\HTMLMenus:

   special_Menu.htm
   special_ie4.htm
   special_ie5.htm

6. Copy these files to c:\..\Dmstudio.140\Scripts\HTMLMenus.

                                            Datamine Australia: support@datamine.com.au
7. For Datamine Studio to display the special_Menu file you will need to edit
the scriptmenus.tab file located in the C:\..\Dmstudio.140\Helpfile
directory. Copy this file into your C:\Program Files\datamine\custom
directory so that it is not overwritten when a new version of Studio is
installed and give it a new name, eg. myscriptmenus.tab.

8. Edit the myscriptmenus.tab file and add the following line:

   START_TAB HTML:Special,HTMLmenus/Special_Menu.htm
   END_TAB HTML:

9. To tell Studio to read the tab file you have created, it is suggested you
create a text file local.env in your custom directory with the following
   line:

   CUSTOMISATION_FILE = myscriptmenus.tab

The new tab file will now be available when Datamine Studio is run with
any Project file. If you only want the tab available for a particular project
then move the local.env file to the Project directory.

10. Now start Studio and in the Customisation window there will be a tab
labelled Special with the same menus that were available in Guide.
Further information is available in Help>Contents>Miscellaneous.
