GRAFFITI

The schedule below provides details of the number of square metres of graffiti removed from
Council’s public facilities in the various suburbs by Graffiti Off Pty Ltd.

BUILDING MAINTENANCE/IMPROVEMENT WORKS

• Building maintenance requests – A total of 257 maintenance requests were received through
  the City Works Operations section. All work has been programmed to be completed in order of
  priority.

• Kopper Log Repairs – There were a total of 22 sets repaired within various Parks and Reserves
  around the Campbelltown area.

• Gate Repairs – A total of 6 gates were repaired around the Campbelltown area.

General

   • Maintenance staff were involved in Project Works for the Horticulture Section in the following
     area: Raby Oval, Wood Park, Jackson Park and Eschol Park.

   • Maintenance staff also undertook work in the new Art Gallery Project.

•   OPEN SPACE

The Open Space staff have been involved in:

        • The mowing of a number of the larger reserves at the following locations: Varroville
          Reserve, Eagle Farm Reserve, Flynn Reserve, Fullwood Reserve.

        • The slashing of the previously cleared hazard reduction areas is about to commence.
          The slashing will include such areas as the rear of Cudgegong Road, Nymboida
          Crescent, Leichhardt Street, Granite Place, Ironside Crescent, Cook Reserve, Bent Place
          and Corunna Avenue. The grass growth within these areas has been quite rapid since
          the recent storms.

HORTICULTURE

    •   Work for the Dole: The Work for the Dole crew have been involved in the ongoing hazard
        reduction activities in Bunbury Curran Reserve. The hazard reduction adjacent to Oro
        Place, Glenfield has been completed, and the area at the rear of Woodlark Place, Glenfield
        is approximately 70% complete.
    •   Weed Control: Council’s weed control contractor is currently involved in undertaking
        treatment of weed infestations within all of the community planting sites throughout the City
        area.
    •   Turfing of Playing Fields: Turfing at a number of playing fields has been carried out.
        These include the goal mouths at Eschol Park and the run ups to the Cricket pitches at both
        Jackson and Wood Parks.
    •   Appin Road Landscaping: The landscaping activities have commenced on the western
        side of the newly reconstructed section of the Appin Road between Woodlands Road and
        Fitzgibbon Lane. Subject to favourable weather conditions, this part of the landscaping
        should be completed in approximately two weeks.
    •   Tree Inspection Report
        23 contracted out
        133 inspections resulting in work for the tree maintenance section of Operational Services
        25 required no action
        4 inspections for termites – contracted out
        0 sewer chokes – contracted out
        Total requests approximately 255

     •   Minto Basin – Basin area completed with turf now laid. Watering program in progress
         for turf to be established.
     •   Lynwood Tip – commencement of environmental control to tip in progress – 20%
         completed.

           •       A Christmas tree and a handrail were made for the Civic Centre
           •       Repaired the fence at Ingleburn High School and carried out various pit repairs

 Work orders have been issued for sealing program, footpath reconstruction program,
 bridge maintenance program and rejuvenation.

 Roads from HSS Program have been completed (Wyangala Crescent, Tabourie Street,
 Townson Avenue, Kimberley Street, Leicester Street, Thirlmere Street and Wyndham
 Street, Leumeah)

 The rehabilitation work on Airds Road Bridge is completed.

 Footpaths Data Collection:

 Condition assessment has been carried out for 11 km Footpaths Sections as mentioned
 below:

 Footpaths on Allman Street, Broughton Street, Lindesay Street, George Street, Raby
 Playing Field, Mawson Park, Walkways between Hurricane Drive and Raby Playing Field

 Bridges:
 Condition Inspection (level 2) completed for all bridges, Level 3 inspection by consultant for
 Ben Lomond, Airds Road Bridges and Wood Park pedestrian bridge are also completed.
 The design of creek bank protection for Woodpark pedestrian bridge is in progress.

 Public Spaces Data Collection:
 All Council parks and reserves have been inspected (324 in total) and data placed in M-
 Plan database. All data has now been transferred to Excel to be reformatted to go into
 Conquest. Several corrections are required to be made to ensure that all material being
 installed into Conquest is accurate. Priority 1 to 5 rating will now be established for all
 assets and be introduced for 2005 - 2006 budget.

 Building review has commenced, with the following facilities having been reassessed and
 any required adjustments to scheduled works have been noted:
