									          APPLICATION TO EXCAVATE OR OBSTRUCT ROAD
                         OR FOOTPATH

       Storage of materials on streets etc
       A person shall not deposit or store any material on a street, way or other public place
       except for the purpose of immediate transportation of that material onto the building
       site or ground being used for the purposes of building operations, and the deposit    t
       and transportation shall be carried out expeditiously as possible. Any storage of
       materials on a street, way or similar requires the approval from the local government
       to ensure the least possible obstruction to traffic and safety for the public is
       maintained.

       Excavation
       Every excavation for a building shall be properly guarded and protected and shall,
       where necessary, be sheet piled so as to prevent caving in of the adjoining earth or
       pavement, and in any case required by the building surveyor, sheet piling of an
       approved type shall be utilized to protect the subsoil from damage by scour or subsoil
       or surface waters.

       Lodging Applications
       A completed application form together with all relevant documents and payments can
       be lodged using one of the following methods:
              In person at the Council Administration located at 9 Coleville Crescent,
              Spearwood between the hours of 8.30am and 4.30pm.
              If the application is supplied with a credit card authorization form, be faxed to
              94113333.
              By post to PO Box 1215, Bibra Lake, DC WA 6965.
