Installing SAP GUI 7.10 to upgrade the current version

SAP GUI is the local install of the SAP R3 client. The installer is located on your Network
Drive:-

       F:\apps\SAP\SAPGUI 7.10 Installer\SAPGUI_Schools_No_Auto.exe



Any earlier versions of SAP R3 (i.e. version 5 in most cases), the installer will first remove
this version.

When the install options screen appears make sure there is a tick in the
Schools_no_auto box and click next.
When the installation completes, copy the saplogon.ini file from F:\apps\SAP\SAPGUI
7.10 Installer\saplogon.ini to the computers c:\windows folder (If prompted click yes
to overwrite) This will restrict the SAP logon pads options to the following:




To log on to SAP the user must double click Production R3 on the above window.

The new desktop icon looks like the following. Delete any other icon relating to SAP R3.
