ACCOUNTING & BOOKKEEPING If you want a quick start for a career in the field of accounting, you should select the Accounting and Bookkeeping diploma program. You will complete the program in three terms, and you will be able to distinguish, analyze, summarize, and record business transactions. The technical courses in taxes, payroll, computers, and accounting allow you to seek entry level placement. The internship part of the program provides you a professional work experience under the combined guidance of a faculty member and a cooperating employer where many of the skills and procedures studied in the classroom are observed and practiced. You will find employment opportunities are in commercial business, government offices, non-profit entities, and public accounting. You may start fall term at the Boone or Urban Campus. Graduation Requirements To earn an Accounting and Bookkeeping diploma, you must complete all coursework as prescribed and maintain a 2.0 grade point average.
