I hope someone can help me out here. Brief recap.

I have a Hilton Honors (hotel points) account, since I travel a lot it
is a gold membership (Acct #123).

I decided to also get a Hilton Credit Card through Citibank so I can
get more points.

When I checked my Hilton points, I noticed I was not getting my points
from Citibank, so I called Hilton, and they discovered that when
Citibank created my account, they mistakenly created another Hilton
Honors account (Acct #888), which was Silver (since its brand new).
Hilton said to tell citibank that they need to correct/change the
account number that they are sending the points to.

Pretty straight forward right?

Call Citibank and tell them to change the Hilton account they have
(#888) to my real account (#123)...right?

1st call to citibank, they rep said I needed to tell Hilton to change
their number.
That does not make any sense. Citibank tells Hilton "Give account XXX
5,000 points", so its up to Citibank to correct what account it is
going to.

For example, If my local bank sends my statements to the wrong home
address, you tell the bank to make the address change, not the post
office...right?

Finally he said he would make the change...2 weeks later I get a letter
from Citibank, saying if I need to change the account number, I need to
call Hilton and tell them to change it.

So I call Citibank again (call 2), and spend 30 minutes trying to
explain the problem and that its not Hilton who needs to make the
change but Citibank to the rep, and then another 30 minutes to the
supervisor...they both say Hilton needs to change the account number,
finally the supervisor submits the change again, and said thats all she

Just got another letter, saying to contact Hilton.

What can I do now? Other than canceling my card.

I am really disappointed and upset at Citibank. I think it is common
sense, that THEY are telling Hilton the wrong account...so THEY need to
tell Hilton the right account.
So THEY need to make the change.
