Topics include basic real property law, concepts of value and operation of real estate markets, mathematical and statistical concepts, finance, and residential construction/design. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate adequate preparation for REA 102. This course is required for the Real Estate Appraisal certificate. Topics include the sales comparison approach, site valuation, sales comparison, the cost approach, the income approach, and reconciliation. Upon completion, students should be able to complete the Uniform Residential Appraisal Report (URAR). This course is required for the Real Estate Appraisal certificate. Topics include yield rates, discounted cash flow, financial leverage, and traditional yield capitalization formulas. Upon completion, students should be able to estimate the value of income producing property using yield capitalization techniques. This course is required for the Real Estate Appraisal certificate.
