IBM-CRM Contact Centre Student Placement Opportunities
IBM is a globally integrated enterprise operating in 170 countries. IBM United
Kingdom's history began on November 19, 1951 in Scotland at the Battery Park
offices where they assembled electronic typewriters and time recording equipment.
Today IBM UK has around 20,000 employees and serves a wide and diverse client
base by bringing them innovative solutions to solve their business challenges.

Placement Opportunities
IBM are able to provide three summer placements in their Multi-Lingual European
Contact Centre handling business from both large commercial clients and internal
IBM clients. This is part of the CRM contact centre delivery arm of IBM focusing on
large-scale delivery of key commercial accounts.

The placements will be based at IBM’s site in Greenock. The placements will be for
approximately 10 weeks. The students will be responsible for the delivery of IT 1st
level support with a possible individual project identified dependant on each student’s
skill base. The rate of pay will be approximately £300 per week.

Required Year of Study: Undergraduate year 2 or 3

Required Degree Subject: Computing science; software engineering

Person Specification:
IBM/CRM are looking for students who can demonstrate the following skills/qualities:
    Studying an IT-related course
    Keen interest in delivery of IT
    Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
    Programming skills would be helpful
    Innovative, clear communicator
    Ability to work well in a team.
    Knowledge of other languages helpful but not essential
