Course Manual Topics

This course instruction manual is divided into the following sections:

           Getting Started
           Study Plan
           Opening the Web Browser
 Locating and Logging On to the School Web Site
           Accessing the Course
           Navigating the Course
           The Final Exam

Getting Started

Thank you for choosing our online course. This is a 4-hour course that may be
used for continuing education or post licensing credit.

Instructions for getting online and navigating the web site are included in this
orientation package. Any time you find the instructions confusing or inadequate,
please call or e-mail the school for assistance. Our instructors are available to
give you any help you might need.
If this is your first online course, you will find that the way in which the information
is presented is different from the live classroom. In the live classroom, a
specified period of time is devoted to classroom instruction and students are
expected to devote the time needed to study on their own. In this course you will
be presented with a small amount of written material at a time. Then you will be
asked to answer a few questions about the material. If you get a question wrong,
you will be prompted that the answer is incorrect with an explanation. You will
then be asked to try again. You will work your way through the lesson in this
manner with a quiz on the entire lesson at the end of each lesson. You must
complete each section before proceeding to the next. When you have completed
all the lessons, you will be given an exam on the entire course. You can review
course material as often as you like. You can also print screens if you would like
the material to review as a paper copy. Once you have successfully completed
the final exam you will be issued a certificate of completion. It’s that easy!

Read the study plan for this course carefully. If you follow the suggested
guidelines you should be well prepared to take and pass the final examination at
the end of the course.

Study Plan

Online Course
This course is topic based. That means that students must complete one
section, including quizzes and assignments, before they will be allowed to
continue to the next section. You may repeat the information and the quizzes as
many times as you feel necessary; there is no limit on the number of times the
material may be repeated. Students are expected to read the material and
answer the quiz questions as you proceed through the written material. If you
answer a question incorrectly you will be prompted and asked to try again. You
will be given an opportunity to review the written material on that subject area.

Section Quizzes
Section quizzes are multiple-choice questions that are based on the material
presented in each section. You must correctly answer all quiz questions before
proceeding to the next section.

Final Examination
You must complete all section quizzes and assignments before you will be
assigned a password for the final examination. The final examination is
comprised of multiple-choice questions. You must answer at least 70% of them
correctly in order to pass the course.
