					The Fringe Bar, Paddington's iconic local reopened in September 2005.
The Fringe has been an established fixture in the Sydney nightlife for decades and is Paddington’s most
iconic establishment. Come and surround yourself under the eclectic chandeliers, framed mirrors, and photos
of the great and greater. An extensive range of cocktails and beverage list satisfies all who enter this elite
venue for a night out.
Areas are available to cater from 40-600 people for your function, special event or product launch. Whether
its weekend partying, big time laughs at Monday Night Comedy, testing us out at Tuesday Trivia or chilling
for an intimate drink during the week you will love everything The Fringe Bar

In the heart of Paddington, yet close to everything, The Fringe Bar appeals to the masses, and the interior is
what welcomes them in. Strolling by you'll be intrigued by this photo filled, rock era arena of mirrors,
frames, cosy couches and shiny chandeliers.
The Fringe Bar is exclusively yours.


Food and Beverage packages can be tailored especially for your event along with cocktails from our
extensive cocktail list. To discuss all of your options further please speak to the functions manager (9360-

We can organise and recommend entertainment from our wide range of DJ's and bands, along with all other
theming elements.

                               Functions can be arranged seven days a week.

                                  Our opening and operating times are:


                                       Monday -Saturday 12pm to 3am
                                         Sunday 12pm to Midnight
                                        Kitchen closes @ 10pm daily
Functions at The Fringe

There are 3 distinct areas that can be sectioned off for functions, catering for groups from 20 to 400 people.


The Bird Cage

The largest of Fringe Bar's private function rooms, holding 50-100 people and serviced by its own private bar
the Bird Cage appeals to all. Light filled birdcages, old-school lampshades and a stunning candelabra
produce an ambience to suit any function or special event. The accompanying collage of photos of legends
gone by make this room unique, a space like no other.

Room Hire:      M-W $300 Minimum Spend $1000
                Th-S $500 Minimum Spend $2500

Room Capacity: 50-100 guests (cocktail style)



The Green Room

The Green Room is the function room for those who like a more intimate environment. Candlelight and raw
brick gives a warm and welcoming effect that makes any function relaxed, fun, and a little more personal.
Catering from 40 to 70 people, the Green Room has the ability to adapt to a birthday, engagement, cocktail,
private launch, or even a gathering amongst friends. Padded paisley walls and hanging cream lanterns give
the room the ambience, while tree stump tables create a rustic feel to this delicate surrounding.

                Th-S $80 per hour (4 hour min) Minimum Spend $1500

Entire Fringe Bar

The Fringe Bar main area and entire venue is the ideal backdrop for product launches, fashion shows, after
parties and the like. With a generous capacity of 600 people Fringe has the flexibility to mould to any
requirement. With the space to house a 9m catwalk, cater for a 5 piece band with a state of the art in-house
system or cater for 600 in a cocktail style gathering, Fringe has the capabilities limited only by your
imagination.

Room Capacity: 600 guests


Please note: All minimum spends include both food and beverages.
All room hire finishes at 11pm then the area becomes non-exclusive.
Room hire must be paid prior to the function. Room hire is used as deposit and can not be refunded for
cancellations without a minimum of one weeks notice.
Catering Arrangements
Simply choose from the following selections by nominating a mixture of hot and cold canapés. Pizza's can
also be selected from our main bar menu. Why not have a mixture to keep everyone happy?

Wild mushroom ragout with crème fraiche in short crust tartlet
Herbed beef carpaccio in short crust tart with beetroot jam
Ricotta filled short crust tart with eggplant pickle and preserved lemon
Caramelized pumpkin in puff pastry case with roasted red pepper pesto
Gravlax salmon tartlet with dill mayonnaise
Peking duck crepe with shallot and hoi sin
Burrito of chicken with mint, crème fraiche and dried tomato
Herbed crepe of smoked salmon, chive and crème fraiche roulade with salmon roe
Ginger chicken and hokkien noodle dumplings with sweet rice vinegar dipping sauce
Caramelized onion goats cheese and rosemary pissaladiere
Grilled tandoori chicken sticks w/ minted yoghurt

Beverages on Consumption / Bar Tabs

By nominating exactly what drinks you would like to be served our bar staff will ensure only these drinks are
added to your tab. These choices can change throughout the night if you desire.

Pre set a limit on the tab. You can increase this tab if you choose. A credit card must be left with the bar
staff at the beginning of the function. If a credit card is not available on the night a pre-authorisation form
must be filled out outlining the details of this credit card.

                                           Terms and Conditions

Booking Confirmation
A booking is only confirmed upon receipt of a signed booking form and the room hire has been paid.
Any tentative booking that is not confirmed within 7 days will be released at our discretion.

Cancellation
If a cancellation is made three weeks prior to the function, the room hire will be reimbursed less any costs
incurred on your behalf. Less than three weeks notice, we will hold the room hire.

Room Hire
To secure your booking we need the total amount of your room hire. This can be paid by filling out the
credit card payment form on the booking sheet and faxing to the functions manager. The Fringe Bar
reserves the right to cancel the function if the room hire is not paid in full, 7 days prior to the function.

Payment
Payment can be made by direct deposit, cheque or credit card 7 days prior to the function. Service charges
will be charged for credit card purchases as follows: Diners 4%, Amex 3% and all other credit cards will
incur a 2% surcharge.

Minimum Spend
The minimum spend per section will always apply and is in addition to the room hire charge.

Dress Code -Smart Casual
Stringent Dress Codes apply at The Fringe Bar: no sneakers, singlets, torn jeans or thongs are permitted.

Unacceptable Behavior
Management of The Fringe Bar reserves the right to refuse and exclude entry to any person to a function
deemed undesirable or intoxicated. No food or beverages of any kind are permitted to be bought into a
function unless previously authorised by the functions manager.

Insurance/Damage
The Fringe Bar will take reasonable care, but will not accept responsibility for damage or loss of any item
before, during or after a function. No goods are to be stored in the bar during the function. You are also
responsible for any equipment hired by us for your function. In the circumstance that this is damaged you
will be responsible for the total cost. Any damage to furniture will incur total cleaning / repair costs.

Equipment/ Audio Visual
A full list of hired equipment must be outlined when booking the function. All equipment may be bought into
The Fringe Bar on the day of the function only, and must be removed the same day, or through a prior
arrangement. The Fringe Bar will not take responsibility of any property left behind after the event.

Entertainment
The Fringe Bar has an entertainment license; all entertainment in every form must be discussed with the
functions manager. We can provide our DJ's for private functions at a charge to the client. Please discuss
pricing with the functions manager.

Security
The Fringe Bar requires security for every event over 100 people, please discuss pricing with the Functions
Manager
