Great Endings

   Good endings may let the reader
    know how the writer feels and
    should wrap up the main idea of the
    story.
Great Endings

   Sometimes authors end their stories
    with a memory, a feeling, a wish, or a
    hope.

   Other times they end the story by
    referring back to the language of the
    beginning.
Poor Endings

1.   We had a lot of fun.
2.   Then we went home.
3.   It was a fun time.
4.   We drove home.
5.   Finally we left.
6.   I fell asleep on the way home.
Individual Work

   Choose three of the six poor endings.

   Write your improved endings on a
    piece of looseleaf. These will be
    collected.
