As department chairperson, Dr. Chung has organized several faculty development projects such as teaching and publication workshops and departmental retreats. Under Dr. Chung's chairmanship, our international business programs are expanded and IB grants are received from the U.S. Department of Education at Wichita State University. In addition to serving as Editor, Academy of Management Proceedings, Dr. Chung served as program coordinator, session chairperson, paper reviewer, and discussant. External services to the community, including the directorship of SER Job for Progress, American Youth Soccer Organization, Midwest World Trade Center, church community services, and others. Dr. Chung either brought overseas executives and/or participated in management training programs for overseas business executives at Wichita State University and Old Dominion University. International Management Study Abroad. A group of faculty and students visited Japanese and Korean Companies in Japan and Korea in 1991. Sister universities (Kitakyushu, Yonsei, and Yeungnam) were also visited. 7. 8. Dr. Chung has been instrumental for establishing exchange relationships with Yonsei University and Yeungnam in Korea and Peking University in China. 9. Dr. Chung organized and led study groups to China, Korea, and Japan, 1991, 1992, 1993, and 1994. ODU students and faculty members participated. Dr. Chung established inner-city student scholarship programs for the Norfolk Schools, 1993- 10. 11.
