 The Suicide PIP Framework and Planning
Template are the resulting tools developed
from the Suicide PIP Initiative for BC
 The Suicide PIP Initiative for BC began in
  April 2008
Why was this initiative developed?
 Understanding of approaches to suicide –
nationally (CASP Blueprint) - and by other
  provinces
 Lack of mutual awareness and limited
  connections between services in BC
 Existing work around youth suicide (MCFD),
some recent work on working with suicidal
  clients (CARMHA, MOHS)
What is the Suicide PIP Initiative?
 An initiative developed to:
    Create key resources (Framework and
Planning Template) as planning tools for
      suicide PIP
    Provide evidence and practice to
      support community development around
      suicide PIP

                               sought and integrated
