and distribution models are under attack. The seminar Future of the Film
Financing and Marketing should
       compare the old and new models of film financing, marketing and
         distribution
       bring the overview of new forms of film distribution (VOD, COD,
         DOD)
       explain possibilities of film financing through new social media
         (such as facebook, twitter)

THOMAS MAI - CEO of Festival Darlings

Thomas has sold over hundreds of feature films to distributors around the world ranging from
the smallest independet films to bigger films with Hollywood stars (films by Lars von Trier,
Lukas Moodysson, Thomas Vinterberg, Susanne Bier, Lone Scherfig, Josef Fares, Per Fly and
many more).

He has also produced 4 feature films (THE EIGHTEENS, POSSESSED, DON’S PLUM and
ONE POINT O) and won numerous awards. The latest film, One Point O was selected for the
main competition in Sundance 2004. In 2000 Thomas Mai was singled out by a film trade
magazine Variety as one of Ten Producers to Watch.

Thomas Mai was Managing Partner and producer in Klondike Film from 1996-1998 and CEO
of Trust Film Sales from 1998-2000, from 2000-2004 he was the Managing Partner and producer
of ZentAmerica and CEO of Los Angeles based Katapult Film Sales from 2004-2006. From
2006-2009 Thomas was Head of New Business at TrustNordisk.


FESTIVAL DARLINGS

Festival Darlings was formed in May 2009 by sales veteran Thomas Mai. Festival Darlings is a
film sales company that deals with traditional sales but focus heavily on the new digital/online
distribution platforms including VOD, COD and DOD.
