Game of Skill Terms and Conditions for the Woolworths Good Taste/Oriental Merchant Competition. 1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these conditions. Entries must comply with these conditions to be valid. 2. Entry is open to residents of Australia aged 18 years or older who fulfil entry requirements. Employees and their immediate families of the Promoter and its agencies associated with this competition are not eligible to enter this competition. 3. To enter: a. First purchase any one of the following products; Hakubaku Soba noodles, S&B Wasabi Paste, S&B Golden Curry (Mild/Hot), S&B Tofu Miso, S&B Aka Miso soup, S&B Wakame clear seaweed soup, Hakubaku Udon Noodles, Hakubaku Ramen Noodles, Hakubaku Somen Noodles, Hakubaku Chilli Soy noodle Sauce, Hakubaku Green tea noodles, Hakubaku Wasabi Noodle Sauce, Morinaga Firm Tofu, Morinaga Soft Tofu, Kewpie mayonnaise, Obento Nori Sheets, Obento pink Ginger Amazu Shoga, Obento Rice Wine Vinegar, Obento Udon, Obento Sushi Seasoning, Obento Ginger Red beni Shoga or Obento Sushi Kit in any size from a participating Woolworths or Safeway store. b. Then, tell us in 25 words or less what intrigues you about Japanese food and why. c. Send us your full name, address and daytime contact number along with a copy of your receipt or barcode and answer to: Woolworths Good Taste/Oriental Merchant Competition Locked Bag 9007, Alexandria NSW 1435 4. The competition commences at 00.01 (AEST) on Wednesday 20th May 2009 and closes at 23.59 (AEST) or last mail received on Tuesday 16th June 2009 (“Entry Period”). Multiple entries will be accepted, however, each entry must be sent in as a separate correspondence. 5. Entries must be received by the Promoter during the Entry Period. Entries received after the end date will not count towards the competition. 6. This competition is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winners. All entries will be judged individually on their merits based on product understanding and creativity. The best entries as determined by the judges, will win a prize. 7. Judging will take place at 12:00pm (AEST) on Friday 19th June 2009 at News Magazines 180 Bourke Road, Alexandria, NSW 2015. Entries will be judged by a panel of judges from News Magazines. 8. The 30 answers judged to be the best based on product understanding and creativity will each win a $100 WISH Gift Card. 9. Total value of prizes is $3,000. 10. WISH Gift cards can be used at participating Woolworths and Safeway Supermarkets, CALTEX WOOLWORTHS and CALTEX SAFEWAY co-branded outlets, HomeShop, BIG W, Dick Smith Electronics, Dick Smith PowerHouse, Tandy, Woolworths Liquor, BWS, or Dan Murphy's stores. The judges’ decision is final and binding - no correspondence will be entered into. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries or other communications. Entries will be deemed void if forged, manipulated or tampered with in any way. 12. In the event that a participating product becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoter’s control, entries must have valid purchase receipt for another participating product(s). 13. In the event that any prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoter’s control, the Promoter may substitute a prize of equal or greater value. 14. The winners will be notified by phone and or mail by Friday 3rd July 2009. 15. Entry details remain the property of the Promoter. The name and photograph of the winner may be used for promotional purposes by the Promoter, unless the winner otherwise notifies the Promoter at the time of accepting the prize. 16. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered or sustained (even if caused by negligence) as a result of entering this competition, accepting and/or using a prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. 17. The Promoter reserves the right to request verification of age, identity, residential address of winners and any other information relevant to entry into or participation in this promotion. Verification is at the discretion of the Promoter, whose decision is final. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any individual who is involved in any way in interfering or tampering with the conduct of this promotion. 18. Entrants confirm and promise that their entry is original and does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party. 19. In the event of a promoter other than News Magazines cancelling any event related to this prize, News Magazines cannot be held responsible. 20. The winner agrees to participate in any news media activities surrounding the promotion such as photographic shoots and interviews. 21. Once the prize has left the Promoters premises the Promoter is not responsible for late or damage sustained during the delivery of the prize. 22. News Magazines collects your information to include you in this competition and will disclose the information to others who help us run the competition.
